My God It's Monday

I've started watching a show called Killing Eve. So far (two episodes in) it is very good. My favorite line? "It's like I've walked into the inside of my brain."

The heat continues. Every now and then we get a morning like today's where it's not hot and humid first thing and I actually enjoy most of my morning walk. I'm still hot and sweaty when I get home but at least I enjoy the start of the walk. It'll be fall soon enough, right? (I know it will be. I can't believe it's almost the end of July already. The older I get, the faster time goes.)

I am working on edits for Owned by Fate. I think it's going to be a great culmination of the Dragon Soul series, but with the heat zapping me of energy it is taking me forever to get these done. I feel like I should start hibernating in the summer. Just tell folks at the beginning of July that I will be productive again starting in September.

Redid the front hall. Pulled up the laminate and put down tiles, painted the walls this lovely blue, and bought a couple new pieces to hold all the stuff that accompanies summer and winter outdoor clothing needs. It looks so much brighter than how it was with the grey walls that were original from when we bought it.

Bought a LaRocca Caramel Layer cake. The other LaRocca cakes I have had have been very delicious, so I'm really looking forward to this one. Have to have supper first - crab nachos tonight. In fact, it's probably time for me to go make those...

Hope you had a good Monday!

My God It's Monday

Didn't watch any movies last week so there's no Movie Monday today.

I can't believe it's Monday again already. Time is moving forward at a far too quick pace. Although the good thing about it being halfway through July is that brings us that closer to fall! I can't even count on September to be that much cooler, though, as the last few years, it has been hot that month, too. October shouldn't let me down, though. And I know it'll be here before I know it!

Front hall is coming along - the blue tiles in the middle look fantastic. Once it's done I'll take pictures and show before and after. I am looking forward to having everything put back in place, too. There's nothing like renovating one room to mess up the rest of the house!

I have all these grand plans for cleaning the house - like a real deep clean, top to bottom - when I get caught up on my writing. Maybe that's why I can't seem to get caught up... ;)

It's another stupid hot one today. Looks like there will be some relief on Wednesday, but the days before and after that promise to be icky hot. So I shall be hiding in the house, making the a/c work overtime just to try to keep the house from being too hot. Speaking of, I need to go close the back blinds to help that effort.

Stay cool, people!

My God It's Monday

I have a busy week like whoa and a good half of my todo list should be done yesterday, let alone today! So of course today is the day where I'm like a gnat on crack and flit from thing to thing, not actually completing tasks but working on one for a few minutes before going, oh wait, what's that? flit flit flit. It is not the best way to get shit accomplished.

I'm starting to feel the need for a steak. Every now and then I just have to have red meat, preferably with a salad on the side. I guess my body gets to craving the iron and vitamins? I don't know, but sometimes it's just absolutely necessary. I'm thinking there's a visit to Moxies in my near future. They also do these sushi cones that I could totally gorge on for days. One day I will go there and get like three orders of them and just pig out. I haven't yet because I get there and ooo steak, so I wind up sharing the sushi cones and having steak. Mmmm... steak. Mmmm... sushi cones.

I am not actually a huge sushi fan, but I do love the crab ones, the shrimp ones, and the California rolls with the crab in them. But most of the raw fish ones just don't do it for me. Of course, I'm not a fan of fish. Shell fish, yes, bring it on I like it all - except for oysters and that's a texture thing - but regular fish with gills and scales? I am just not fond. Some I can tolerate, some I just plain don't like at all.

Dreamspinner Press has 30% off storewide through to May 31, including pre-orders. You can find my books here.

Loving the rainy day. It's nice and cool. The dog does not like getting wet (despite having webbed toes) so he spends rainy days sleeping. The funniest thing is when he doesn't realize it's raining and he wants to go out. So I open the door for him and he dashes out, only to freeze just on the other side of the doorstep and come back in. He can hold on for a long, long time to keep from having to go out in the rain. The longest ever was one time when he'd gone out to do his business at 6pm, then didn't go out again until the next day around 2pm. No accidents in the house, either. He just was holding on until the rain stopped, or his bladder exploded. For the record, he waited until the rain stopped.

We're experiencing a much wetter sprint this year than last where it was near drought conditions. On the plus side - the flowers, trees and grass are loving the water (especially as it's been coupled with lots of sunshine, too). On the negative side, this has already been a banner year for mosquitoes and the mosquito season has only just started! Yikes. The fact that it was a relatively warm winter isn't helping keep their numbers down, either.

Oh! I started out talking about the rain meaning to say that I'm having to wear a sweater and I love having to wear sweaters. There you see the gnat on crack in action...

And on that note, I should probably get back to the many things on my todo list. I've been working all morning, but it really doesn't seem any smaller!

Happy Memorial Day to everyone in the US. Hugs to those who have lost loved ones who served.

My God It's Monday

And a beautiful Monday it is, too! It is sunny and warm and there is a stunning cool breeze coming in through the screen door. While it is definitely a Monday, I am definitely enjoying today's weather. As is the dog who is outside on his outside bed in the sun, sleeping.

I did manage to put together a todo list this morning and I'm working my way through it, knocking things off. I've managed to get a little writing in this morning, too. So yay for both those things.

I have a new self-pub novel in the midst of edits and cover creation. Hopefully it'll be available before the end of the month. You know what they say - April edits bring May releases ;) And like the flowers, though there were edits in April, early May was cold (busy) enough that the release isn't quite ready yet. And I think I have tortured that metaphor quite enough!

I need to pull the winner from the last contest I held, and get organized for a new batch of contests - it's Canada's 150th birthday this year and I'm going to be doing contests to celebrate over the next few months. So keep your eyes on this spot!

Okay, back to the todo list. I just hope that I manage to stay as organized for the rest of the week!

My God It's Monday

It's Monday. Again. They keep coming around as regular as anything. Only most of the time it's a really fast regular as anything. I tell you, time is just zoooom and it's getting worse. I know it probably means that I'm getting old, but there's nothing that I can do about that.

It's been a while since I've updated. I've been busy with writing and edits and trying to be organized for RT. I think I mostly am. At least I have most of my swag together. I'm just trying to organize getting books there. I probably should have ordered them earlier, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. If I was half as organized as I wished I was, it'd be great. As it is, I tend to have just enough organized days to keep my head above water.  I will try to do better!

I had three nights of good sleep - where I didn't need to take any melatonin and managed four hours straight, plus at least another hour after. Last night wasn't as good, so I guess I'll go back to the melatonin for a few notes and hope that I can do a few nights on, a few nights off. I feel more awake and more with it than I have in weeks, though, maybe months, so I'll take it.

I've had a new book out - Fairytale Shifters: Little Red Riding Hood - that I haven't pimped here yet. I'll put the info below. I've got three reprints coming this week, too. Stuff from Amber Quill that's currently in an anthology, but I've been asked to make available individually too, so I'm going to get that done.

The weather is gorgeous at the moment. Tomorrow is supposed to be 22C, which is far too early for it to be so warm. It'll all be green soon. The plants in the front bed are all pushing up. At the moment the buds aren't out on the trees, but we'll go from nothing to a green fuzz over everything in a matter of a day or two once we get these warm days. Nature is amazing, it really is. Of course, you know I'll be bitching about how warm it is in no time at all.

The river is flooding, as evidenced by the picture above. The creek out back was higher than I've ever seen it - between the rain last week and all the snow it melted, it's very wet. Still, we've only had a couple of rainy days so far, so it's not been a terribly rainy April so far.

I finally bit the bullet and went to see if I could take getting a head tattoo by starting with a small piece that could be stand alone, but that could also be the beginning of something bigger. And it wasn't the most painful tattoo I've had done! That surprised me - I thought it would be terrible, but it wasn't. It hurt, sure, but definitely not the worse tattoo I've had done. I go on Saturday to get more of it done and then that'll be it until late May or possibly early June.

Cardinal shifter Red works his tailfeathers off as a waiter at The Woods. He doesn’t mind working hard at the diner, but some of the customers have mean streaks and he’s an easy target. When wolf shifter Growler comes in one day for his lunch, he’s immediately taken by Red and even defends him from the porcine bullies giving Red a hard time.

Red’s boss Reisha warns him about getting together with Growler. The guy is a wolf and Red’s kind are nothing but a light snack to wolves. Still, Red likes to make up his own mind, and sometimes a little danger is fun to flirt with, especially if it gets him what he needs, so when Growler offers to give him a ride on his motorcycle, Red is quick to accept.

Predator and prey usually make uneasy bedfellows, but that doesn’t seem to be the case for Red and Growler. Will they be able to fly in the face of convention and find the perfect nest together?

My God It's Monday

Man, last week just flew by unbelievably quickly and somehow I didn't post between last Monday and this one... I seriously don't know what happened to the week.

I have one edit on my plate today - I did one last week, too. Let me tell you, one a week is much easier to handle than what I had going a couple weeks ago!

I've got almost all the books from the ARE debacle back up on Amazon and Evil Plot Bunny. I have five left to put on Amazon and those five plus three more to put on Evil Plot Bunny and then all the books that were published by ARE will be available. Next is to get all the books that were self-pubbed on ARE onto Evil Plot Bunny - they're all already on Amazon.

I have all my smutty advent prizes packaged up and ready to go. I just need to get them to the post office and get them actually mailed out. Almost all -- the person who won the big stuffed unicorn from day 31 still hasn't gotten back to me. Laura K if you see this, please email me.

I'm working on the next Fairytale Shifters book - Little Red Riding Hood this time. This one has a wolf (the obvious choice!) and the other shifter is one I've never done before. That's all I'm saying for now ;)

Just the Right Notes is out today! Thank you to Dreamspinner Press for re-printing this one :)

Elliot is an up-and-coming architect who just opened his own firm—which is a lot more work and pressure than he expected. His partner, Graham, is a respected composer and conductor. They share their love and lives in a beautiful house designed by Elliot, and whenever things get too hard to handle, they retreat to their cabin getaway where Elliot becomes Dom to Graham’s needy little sub.

When things at Elliot’s firm begin to crumble, Graham needs to be the tough one, the one to suggest the cabin and the games they play there, knowing Elliot’s role as Dom will give him strength and that their games will recharge his lover. Together, they keep working to find that precarious balance in their lives—until an accident threatens to change everything. Elliot and Graham’s love faces its greatest challenge yet, and only the resilience they draw from each other can see them through hardship and keep the music in their lives.

My God It's Monday

First Monday of year 51. So far so good. Let's hope it stays that way!

We're having very bizarre January weather. It's been around freezing for weeks and it looks like it's not really going to get that much colder before February. It's still going to be  warmer than usual for February, though, from the long term forecast.  Just weird. I hope it doesn't mean we're going to have a hotter than usual summer!

I have lemon tart from Second Avenue Sweets which is amazing - they do their curd good and lemony. It makes my  mouth pucker without having a bitter edge. Too often lemon items are not lemony enough, but this one is great. And it doesn't taste at all artificial, either.

I have a few deadlines at the end of the month, and so I'll be writing my fingers off this week. Which is a good thing - it'll keep me out of trouble anyway ;)

I hope you all had a good Monday.

My God It's Monday

Still trying to get back into the swing of things. I did get farther on my todo list today and I'm still working at it today so I think I'm making a good start and hopefully most of this week will follow because the todos are starting to pile up.

Watched a bunch of movies this weekend. I'll talk about them in a later post. I'm thinking of switching things up a little. Movie Monday, Top Ten Tuesday, Book Day Wednesday, Thankful Thursday, Random Friday, Smutterday and Sneak Peek Sunday. I don't know if I'm going to do Throwback Thursday or not. Maybe I'll make it a book thing and every Thursday feature a different book that's been out for a while.

Anybody have any requests for top ten lists? I know I'm going to run out of ideas and some Tuesdays are going to be especially uninspired, so if anyone has top ten list ideas... please share!

We're going into a warm spell. Not that it's been particularly cold. It's barely touched typical January lows, and now we have two weeks where it's going to be just barely above and below freezing. What the heck? Global warming? Oh yeah, we are definitely seeing it here.

I still have my little Christmas tree up. I don't really want to take it down - it's so cute with it's little Santa hat topper... but I should, it's dropping needles like crazy and really, Christmas is well over.

I will be getting to pulling Smutty Advent winners this week, damn it.

I'm also trying to think up what I might do for the first two weeks of February, leading up to Valentine's day... I wonder how hard it is to build a poll into blogger... Hmmm...

Okay, I should be writing. I have a book that is past due, two that are due soon, and one to get ready to submit.

I hope everyone has a productive week!

My God It's Monday

I'm tired this morning. I've got this stupid cold that's dragging all the energy out of me. The worst of it, though, is that my eyes are always full of moisture and sometimes it's hard to see. It's very scary not being able to see, or having somewhat impaired vision and I have to admit, it's freaking me out some. I'm hoping this stage of the cold goes by quickly.

So I've been kind of absent because of the cold. Just sort of curling up and watching a bunch of TV. Started Luke Cage - I don't like it as much as I liked Jessica Jones, but I've only watched a couple of episodes, so I'm hoping it grows on me.

I'm all caught up on Falling Water, which just kept getting stranger, but I kind of love it. And I'm one episode away from being caught up on Travelers, which I'm also really enjoying. Gotta love all the sci-fi that's currently available on TV at the moment.

I have to pick all the winners still from second half of the Smutty Advent. I will get to it as soon as I have a proper brain again.

And lastly today, it's BA Tortuga's birthday! Happy Birthday to my very best friend!

My God It's Monday

Totally didn't feel like a Monday today. That's okay, it's a holiday.

Fairly lazy day although I feel like I could sleep for a week straight. Tomorrow night I'm back in my own bed and that should make a world of difference.

Had a new book out today, which is always exciting.

I miss my dog. Won't get to pick him up until Wednesday morning. Can't wait to see his little face again with it's grey muzzle and grey eyebrows...

Anyway. Tired. I'll sign off now.

Have a great week!

My God It's Monday

But I'm not having a bad Monday today - just a busy one. Lots of cookie-making going on, as well as bits and pieces here and there, plus I've got word count to hit today.

Woke up to lots of snow on the ground. It was still snowing, too - in fact it still is. So beautiful. And it's not the smallest snow, so there's also the quietening blanketing effect. I just love it.

The bird feeder out the back is calling to all sorts of birds today. Little junkets with their white bellies and dark backs, a cardinal, the morning doves, sparrows, and I've seen the black squirrel and two little red squirrels. I tried to take pictures of the red ones, but they're jumpy and wouldn't stick around.

I have my seat booked next Saturday at 10 am at the IMAX theatre to see Rogue One. I'm really looking forward to it.

Tomorrow is evening is another family celebration for Christmas. Then that's it until Christmas Eve.

I hope everyone's having a great Monday.

My God It's Monday

Wow. Monday again already. December 5 already. Just wow. Time goes fast, vacation time goes even faster and it always seems to take forever to get back to organized.

I have started my Christmas shopping and I have plans to start my Christmas cookies. So that at least is moving along.

I need to make a to do list, but it's going to be a very long list and so I'm blogging instead.

I woke up to snow today, which makes me very happy! Perfect timing, too - I got my outside decorations up this weekend and then there they are this morning, all covered in snow. It's definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas. I've got penguins and polar bears and a giant light up flamingo, along with those lights that are projected onto the wall (which are so much easier to install than the regular lights).

I need to make lists. What cookies I want to do this year. What gifts I have left to purchase. What stuff I have to give away for Smutty Advent and what holiday themed books I have to do smutty excerpts from. What edits I need to turn around this week. What blog posts I have to do. What I need to get accomplished before the holidays. Etc. Lists. Lots of lists with lots of things to do. I always want to be organized at Christmas but somehow never am. Will this year be the year I get organized for the holidays? Let's face it, probably not. But I'll try like I try every year.

Okay, that to do list is not going to write itself (now wouldn't it be nice if it did?) so I have to go do that.

Happy Monday to all! (Or at least a productive one)

My God It's Monday

Time is definitely zooming by, like seriously eek. It goes fast the rest of the year too, but it always speeds up when I'm on holiday - having such a good time I don't notice the passage of time, I guess. And I know I'm repeating myself, but it's seriously crazy how fast it is going that it bears repeating.

It's rainy, but still warmish here. Back home it is hovering around freezing and snowing slowly. I wonder if it'll warm back up or if the snow will stick around until I get home. I do love the snow, so I'd like it to still be there. Or at least to start falling again once I land.

The mountains are beautiful here. So large and stark, like these huge reminders of just how small and impermanent we are. Especially when compared to nature.

The landscape here is so different compared to home. Even when we were in near drought conditions over the summer and the grass had all gone brown, there were lots of tress and flowers - it was still quite green. And now that it's late fall, before the snow comes, the grass is still green as well. Here it's much more shades of brown, beige and tan as it's desert. The world really is a fascinating place.

I am going to try to squeeze in the last few blogposts for The Closet Boy before it's time to shop for Thanksgiving.

Happy Monday to all!

My God It's Monday

I have today and tomorrow before I go and I'm definitely flailing. I've made a list of things that absolutely need doing by end of day today and I know from experience I won't have a whole lot of brain tomorrow, so that will be packing and making sure I have everything ready to go.

I have to get up at 4am on Wednesday morning to be at the airport for 4:30. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am not a 4am type of person. I've done it before, though, and once I'm through ticketing, security and customs, I can sit at my gate and doze. I usually sleep most of the first flight as well. The second half is longer, but it's filled with the excitement of knowing I'll be there soon.

I'm so looking forward to visiting, and to having a couple of weeks of relaxing.

There's something wrong with my beta fish. He spends most of his time sitting at the bottom of his little tank. Then every now and then he goes zipping around like made for 45 seconds or so, then he settles again. he doesn't come up to eat when I feed him.

The dog on the other hand, is keeping me company the same way he has since I got him, curled up in the seat next to me, sleeping. He snores more now than he did as a pup and it makes me grin every time he does. He's an old dog at this point (eight and his breed's lifespan is 8-12 years) and now that it's colder and there's less beasties outside, I suspect he'll be sleeping a lot more. He's always been way more cuddly during the winter.

All right, I need to buckle down and deal with some of these todos.

Have a great week!\

My God It's Monday

Man, it sure does feel like a Monday today, too. I have all this stuff to do and am feeling distinctly unorganized about it. Doesn't help I'm doing that rabbiting thing where I can't focus on anything and just jump from thing to thing to thing.

However, there are good things about today - it's the second to last Monday before I go to New Mexico for my annual Thanksgiving visit. I am so looking forward to it and crossing my fingers for no problems on the flights down - last year we were delayed landing in Chicago and my flight from there to New Mexico had been cancelled and I wound up flying through Denver and everything was late and full and I finally did make it, but I usually get in at noon and it was almost ten pm instead! Had troubles coming home, too last trip. Hopefully that used up my bad flight karma for the foreseeable. It's all totally worth it, though.

I have some great newself-pubbed books coming - a new Velvet Glove is in the middle of edits and should be out mid-month, a new short novella featuring a bunch of the Hammer guys celebrating Christmas will be out early December, and then there's a new Mannies book I'm about to send to editing. I just need to come up with a title for it. Titles are so hard!

All the Velvet Glove books are 25% off at All Romance Ebooks for the entire month in celebration of the new one coming out soon. You can get those here.

I really enjoy writing the Velvet Glove books. So many ideas, so little time. If only I didn't need to sleep...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to you all meeting the men of Velvet Quartet!

Have a great Monday all.

My God It's Monday

Happy Halloween to all!

The flow of trick or treaters has started. My favorite are the little ones. Some are scared, some are not sure what's going on, or some, like the little pink unicorn who came by know exactly what's going on and won't let Mommy help them carry the getting heavy candy bag - that is theirs!

This year I have a machine in an upstairs window that blows bubbles full of fog. So when they hit something and break out comes this puff of smoke. OMG, so much fun. Kids of all ages and grown-ups alike are delighted by it. I'm so glad I got it.

And after the rush... lowest amount of kids this year, aside from the year it was pouring with rain. But they all loved the bubbles that popped and turned into fog in their hands.

I hope everyone had a great Halloween!

My God It's Monday

And we roll up on another Monday. In fact we're almost done with another Monday. Last one with a full week of October left in it. I do not know where the time is going. Seriously. O.o

Watched The Walking Dead last night. I was this far from never watching the show again. We shall see how I feel about the next episode which is supposedly 'funny'.

I have the next Velvet Glove in for editing. It's novel length, features two couples and should be out by mid-November, depending on how the edits go! I'd share the blurb, but I haven't come up with it yet.  The blurb is like the hardest part. Well, aside from titles, anyway.

Heh. And that's where I left the post off and never went back to it!

So that was Monday...

My God It's Monday

I had a really nice and relaxing weekend. Now it's time to Monday-Up!

Got another edit in. A bunch of cover forms to deal with, and a bunch of stuff to pimp. I do think I'm going to manage to get today's todo list done today. Wouldn't that be nice? Of course I haven't actually opened the edits yet, so things might change once I've done that... ;)

Catching up on Fear the Walking Dead. This one is easier to watch than The Walking Dead. I guess I'm not as invested in the characters, maybe? It just doesn't seem as tense. I have to admit that I've get a fist in my stomach every time I think about the season premiere on Sunday. It's just so intense and the season ender did not leave things in a good place. Like at all.

It was raining yesterday so I didn't get to the Gatineau's to see the leaves. Turns out that might have been okay. Apparently there were so many people that the parking lots were all slammed and it took hours to get parked and to get in and out of them. Happily there are plenty of beautiful trees in my immediately neighbourhood, not to mention there's lots of woods in and around Ottawa that I can visit and observe leaves.

Yesterday was warm and muggy and it felt very close - there didn't seem to be any air moving and I was hot. Today is a little cooler and clear, making it feel much nicer. Almost cold. To this I say yay! Tomorrow and Wednesday look like they might be on the hotter than I'm happy about side, but it's only two days and then we settle into real fall weather. Today is just stunning and I'd like a couple month's worth, please!

I am a sour candy freak. They're just never sour enough or sour for long enough. You get the outside off and they turn sweet. I had found those raspberry puckers at IKEA, but the last couple of times I picked them up, they weren't very sour at all. They are still really good from a gummy standpoint, but they're only a tiny bit sour.

Have you got a sour candy you love?

Why yes, I am trolling for suggestions that'll make me pucker.

I hope your Monday is going well!

My God It's Monday

While today is technically Thanksgiving, I celebrated yesterday with my folks. We had a delicious ham, a great scalloped potatoes using yellow flesh and sweet potatoes, grilled asparagus and brussel sprouts fried with a bit of bacon. And I made my homemade rolls again. All was yummy and topped up by pumpkin pie and cranberry salad.

I had the whole weekend off of work, mostly. So nice after several weeks worth of mad editing. Things start back up today - I've got a bunch of little things to take care of. The edits will start coming in again as well, but I had nothing 'work' related on my mind so it was very relaxing.

Today I have lots of little todos, things that don't necessarily take a long time, but that always seem to get pushed back. I'm catching up on Chopped while I'm at it - I can't have TV on in the background while I'm editing, not and actually do a good job on the editing. But most of the little things are totally doable with something like Chopped on in the background.

My front yard is Halloween ready. I have a blow-up dragon that flaps its wings, a wreath on the door, a giant vampire bob minion on top of a pumpkin that's also blow-up, a scientist Keven minion, a wire ghost, a zombie crossing sign and projector lights that throw flames and ghosts up on the house. And this year all my goodies are packed. I have awesome handouts in cute ziplock baggies, which made closure so much easier than usual. Most years I buy the stuff well ahead, and then don't actually get them ready to hand out until just before the kids start coming. Sometimes even while they're coming O.o. I don't know, but I'm way ahead of things this year. I may even get some of the chocolates and stuff made this year if I continue to stay organized. I'm not counting on it ;)

I have French Canadian Pea Soup on the stove. Smells so good. It's funny because I'm always conservative with the salt and thyme and I'll taste it and go... uh, no, it's bland. And I'll add a bunch of both of those and suddenly it's just where it needs to be. YUMMY. The longer it cooks, the thicker it gets. It's one of my favorite soups - homemade, anyway, I've never had it in a restaurant. And it's so easy to make.

Anyway. I hope everyone is having a good Monday!

Spent the weekend in Toronto. Went to the zoo on Saturday and spent all day there having a blast - the animals were almost all showing off - I'm going to devote a separate post to just the zoo.

Then I went out to supper at The Keg as it was right next door to the hotel. One of the best restaurant meals I've had. In fact the whole experience was wonderful. I had escargot to start with, and they are usually pretty chewy - I've never had them when they weren't. These were soft and delicate. Amazing. The steak was melt in your mouth. The waitress forgot to put in my lobster tail add on and so it arrived just as I was finishing the rest of my meal - which was prefect timing, because then I was able to eat it last and have it still be hot. It was the best cooked lobster tail ever. Again, nice and soft, hot all the way through, no bits rubbery and chewy. And because she'd forgotten it, they didn't put it on the bill and they gave me a free mocha ice cream cake, their signature dessert. Just a great experience.

I also began my Adventures of Boo pics - he's going to star in at least one picture on twitter every day. He totally loved the zoo right along with me.

Sunday I went to the Ontario Science Center. Okay, not the best idea. eight million kids - noisy, not very well behaved for the most part. And they were everywhere, you couldn't escape them. The Omni Imax's "The Beautiful Planet" was the exception - hardly any kids and they were all quiet, and the movie itself was stunning. Made me want to go to space all over again.

Okay, I need to get back to work - I'm not as crazy busy as I was the last two weeks, but I know I've got some stuff coming down the line that if I don't keep on top of things within an inch of their lives now, I'm going to have everything crash up together and be back to too much to do. Let's see if I can actually avoid that happening this month... at least I keep trying, right?  ;)

Happy Monday people!
