Again there were no movies this week, which makes for a not so movie-y Monday.
However, my PVR broke down twice last week (that's three times in two and a half weeks and I'm on my third replacement box - if they made these things right, they'd only have to show up at my place once.)
So once again, I had no shows on tap, so I've been doing some Netflix watching.
Got caught up with iZombie (I had seen all of season 1 and the first third of season 2. I am now all the way up to new episodes). I do love the humor of this show and the way they work her taking on the personality of the brains she eats. Plus, it's a zombie show where the zombies still get to be sexy!
Watched the first season of Wynona Earp. Love this one - I do love it when an action show has a good-sized thread of humor in it. Loved Bobo, love Doc, the Earp sisters, and the Black Badge guy (whose name I keep forgetting!) The local sheriff is a hoot, Waverly's cop girlfriend is hot and very cool. And they even had gay revenants. I am very much looking forward to season 2!
Watched all of what they had of a British crime drama called New Blood. The two main boys are not doing it but so should be. Like really.
I watched the first episode of Paranoid, another British crime drama. This one is slower going, but also interesting. I find myself wanting to know what happens next.
Also watched the first (possibly and second) episode of London Spy. This one is quite weird, but also weirdly fascinating.
And last, but not least, I'm three episodes into Dirk Gently. Talk about bizarre but I love it. Especially the way the holistic detective and holistic assassin's story lines are echoing. I could so do a paper or forty on this show. If I was still in university! Love the humor in this one, too.
So that's what I've been watching lately.
Happy Monday all!
