Halloween is my favorite time of year, baring Christmas, and this year I wanted to throw a huge party for it, with daily book prizes and more. Hence, Halloweenpalooza was born and it starts tomorrow!
Here how it's all going to work.
Every Saturday where will be a grand prize for the week. And every day there will be ebook giveaways. I will pull the previous week's winners on Saturday mornings, which will give everyone a week to get in for the grand prize.
In order to be entered into the ebook prizes, you must make a comment on each post that you want to be entered into. For instance, if you have Monday's ebook giveaway, you might not leave a comment. But if you want a chance to win Tuesday and Wednesday's ebook giveaways, you'll have to comment on each of those days to be entered into the running for those prizes. I will choose a winner for the week's grand prize from comments made on all the posts for that week.
So for example, there will be a grand prize listed on Saturday October 1. I will pull the winner for that prize on Saturday October 8. Everyone who leaves a comment on any of the posts between October 1 and October 7, will be have chance to win the October 1 prize but I will only pull from the comments for that day for all the other daily prizes.
There will be a Super Grand Prize on October 31st and I will pull randomly from all comments made on all the posts for the month. If you have commented on multiple days, each comment will count as their own entry. So if you make a comment every day, then you will have 31 entries into the Super Grand Prize draw.
I would prefer it if you left your email address with your comment, feel free to leave spaces between the components of it, but you don't have to. If you don't - makes sure you come back on Saturdays to check the winner's list and get in touch with me if you win. If you do leave your email addy in your comment, I will contact you directly via email if you win.
So make sure you drop by often to get your comment in for the prizes.
A rocking good Halloweenpalooza to all!

Wednesday Book Day
I just re-released a novel from 2006 (10 years ago!) called Broken Road. It was a joy to write Ardie and West, and if you haven't already read their story, I hope you'll give them a try.
Broken Road
Can lifelong best friends find their happily ever after in each other?
Ardie and West have been friends since the second grade. They’ve been through a lot together: homework, broken bones, the death of a parent, and dreading high school dances. Through Ardie working the family farm and taking care of his siblings, and West chasing his college boy dreams, their friendship never falters, even with the gap of years and lifestyles.
West goes through a series of boyfriends, making Ardie wish his friend could find someone who loves him as much as Ardie does himself. Waiting for the right time to tell West he’s gay, Ardie figures he’s lost his chance when West finally meets someone who seems just right for him.
When the bottom falls out for West, there’s only one person he thinks to call. Ardie is there for him when he does. A little vacation seems to be the right thing, not just to ease West’s mind, but for Ardie to slide into West’s life again, finally letting his friend know how deeply he cares.
Will these two bet friends realize there might be more between them than just friendship? Find out if their Broken Road lead to happiness in this heartwarming read.

Ardie took a cab from the airport straight to the hospital. He figured if he needed a hotel, he could get one later. It was late afternoon and he just hoped he hadn't missed visiting hours. It was already a day since West's call and he didn't want any other delays. He was really worried. Less by the fact that West was in the hospital, than by the fact that West had called him and asked him to come, his voice so defeated.
He hurried to the main nurses' station, overnight bag in his hand.
"Excuse me, ma'am," he said, taking his hat off. "Could you tell me where I might find West Moreland?"
She smiled, looked something up, and then asked his name. She called West's room, got permission, and then sent him up to room 224.
He had his hat in one hand, his bag in the other, and went in, calling out quietly. "West?"
"Ard?" He heard West, walked over to the second bed. West had one leg up in a cast, bandages covering one shoulder. "You came."
"Of course I came, West." He put down his bag and his hat and pulled a chair over to the bed. "What happened?"
"He got pissed off because I wanted to leave. Shot me twice."
"What? West! Jesus." He jumped up. "Where is he?"
"The police are looking. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have called. I was scared."
"The hell you shouldn't have." He settled back down, sitting on the edge of West's bed. "Why don't they have somebody posted at your door?"
He was going to have a hard time finding this guy and beating the shit out of him with the cops already looking. And of course there was the fact he hadn't a clue what the fucker looked like.
"There's security. The cops think he skipped town. He..." West sighed. "He's high maintenance."
"High maintenance? No, West, Aggie's high maintenance. This guy's an asshole who shot you."
"He said he loved me. Said he couldn't bear to lose me."
"That's not love, West." He took West's good hand and squeezed.
"I know. It... it hasn't been. He... It's been bad, Ard." West wouldn't meet his eyes.
"West..." God, it broke his heart. West deserved better than this. "Come home with me, West. Come be with the people who care about you."
"I... I want to."
"Well, then, come on. As soon as they let you out of here, I'm taking you home." He didn't need West to be in love with him; he did need West to be healthy, happy, whole.
"I can't. You've got kids there. A family. He'll come back." West sighed, closed his eyes. "Let's start over. H...how was your flight?"
He let West get away with it for now. Hell, he figured he had some time to work on the man. "Long. And the food? Damn. I've never missed Mabel's cooking more."
West chuckled. "Yeah. I hear you. Scary cardboard eggs."
"I bet it beats the hell out of what they feed you here," he teased.
"Yeah. They did surgery on my leg. I'm not even on real food yet." West looked old, scared, hurt. It made him ache inside.
"You will be soon enough. Bitching about the food and being stuck in bed. You remember when you broke your leg playing baseball? God, we drove your momma crazy."
"Yeah. Other leg this time." West's eyes filled with tears and he closed them. "Where are you staying?"
"Don't know. I just got here." He squeezed West's hand, feeling damned helpless to do anything to help.
"Stay here for a while? I know he won't come back. I do. But I can't sleep."
"I'll stay until they kick me out, West. And they're going to have to be pretty damned insistent if they expect me to go before I can spring you." It would be for the best. He couldn't roam the streets of Seattle looking for someone to beat the tar out of if he was here with West.
"Thank you. You could stay at my apartment but it's a crime scene. I'm... God, Ard. Things are so utterly fucked." The tears did come then, silent and horrible.
He wanted to hug West, hold him, but West was all banged up. So he just squeezed West's hand hard and petted the lean belly. "It's going to be all right, West. Everything's going to work out just fine."
"Is the nurse coming soon? My leg hurts."
He had no clue so he leaned forward and rang the bell. "She'll be here soon, West."
"'Kay. I'm sorry, Ardie."
"For what, West?" He wasn't going to have West apologizing for getting shot.
"For everything. For this."
"Not your fault you got shot, West." He growled a little, frustrated, angry at the world for not caring for his West properly.
"I shouldn't have made him mad..."
Ardie snorted. "No, West. He shouldn't have shot you. It doesn't matter what you did. He made the choice to pick up a damned gun and use it!"
"I... I should have..."
"Come home," he teased. "Seriously, West. The only thing I can think of that would make me shoot another man is if he did something like what Lee just did to you."
West nodded, sighed. "I know. You're a decent man."
He rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. A real saint to put up with you. Come on, West. I don't want to have this argument all over again. Especially not while you're down."
West nodded again, then the nurse came in and shooed him out so they could do whatever they needed to do.
He paced unhappily, wanting a doctor to tell him what the deal was, how soon he could get West out of here and home. There was no doubt in his mind he was bringing West home. Even if it was only until the man was healed.
A young, tall nurse came over, smiled at him. "Is there anything we can help you with?"
"Actually, yes, ma'am, there is. I'd like to know when I can take my friend home."
"He'll probably be released tomorrow afternoon or Monday morning." She smiled. "He's in good health and is healing well."
Oh, that was good news. The further away from here he got West, the better. "Will he be able to travel, ma'am?"
"He'll be on crutches for six to eight weeks. Need to visit a physician to get the stitches out, but medically, I would think so. You'll have to ask the doctor."
And likely the police, but he just nodded. "Thank you, ma'am, I appreciate it."
"If you need anything, let us know."
"Could I bother you for a blanket, ma'am? I'd really like to spend the night in the chair in West's room, keep an eye on him, you know?"
"No problem. The big chair unfolds into a bed. They're actually comfortable."
Well, now, he was thinking it was time the hospital back home invested in some of those. "Thank you again."
He nodded at her and went and knocked at West's door, not wanting to interrupt if they were still doing stuff to him.
The nurse let him in, West covered again, face a little pale. "We've given him a strong sedative. He needs to sleep."
Ard nodded. "I won't disturb him, I promise."
He went over to West, settling back down in the chair. "Hey, there, West. They tell me they've given you the good stuff."
"Yeah." West blinked over. "I needed you here. He's going to kill me and I thought... I thought I'd want that. But I'm not ready to go."
"You wanted to die? West..." Lord help him, he wanted to take West and shake some sense into him. "It's okay, buddy. You just get better. I'll take you home, and you'll see."
"You don't have room for me there."
"The hell we don't."

Movie Tuesday
So this weekend in the evenings I just wanted to watch something easy and mindless. My quest to do this was much harder than expected.
I put on Ice Soldiers. I promptly fell asleep in the first few minutes. When I woke up and went back to the beginning, I discovered that maybe I'd fallen asleep because it was a boring (and stupid) movie. I turned it off about fifteen minutes in.
So next I tried Angry Birds. I didn't fall asleep this time, but I only lasted five minutes. The ads for this one made me think it might be better than I imagined. Nope. Not so.
Next up, Extraction with Bruce Willis. Okay, I thought. action movie, Bruce Willis, this is going to have to be half-decent, right? Wrong! It was not in the least bit decent and I only put up with maybe ten minutes of the terrible acting before I gave up on it.
So I turned to Netflix. The first thing that caught my eye was something called ARQ. It was science fiction, so I thought it had a chance. Then it starts and there are five hundred logos at the beginning of production companies and I'm like, what they all contributed two dollars? And then it starts and it's a groundhog day thing - and it all takes place in a house that looks seriously under construction or demolition inside and yep, no money, done completely in this house. But. It was good. I quite enjoyed it. A good twist on the groundhog day trope.
I also watched Now you See Me 2. I'd seen the first one and thought it wasn't bad. This one wasn't awful or anything, but it wasn't as good as the first one had been.
So it was a marginally successful movie viewing weekend - more misses than hits and misses that I actually turned off (and I am very forgiving on movies. I don't just turn them off very often, especially that close to the beginning!)

My God It's Monday
Wow, what a week. And this week is going to be super cray-cray. But at the end of it I am going to the Toronto Zoo, so that should be fun. I hope the polar bears are feeling playful!
Weather is much improved. Cold nights not too warm days. I love this weather, just adore it. I love the rainy gray days of September and October, too, though I don't know if we'll get them this year, it's been fairly dry since... well for a couple of years, really it's been drier than usual.
I was hoping to go apple picking this year, but it's already the freaking end of September so I might be too late. Possibly on Thanksgiving Saturday.
I'm taking a break from edits for a few minutes. Almost all the blogposts are in. The cover forms are half done. The edits are 2/3 done, but then I've had to add getting a book ready for submission to the list. It's been an intense week and a half. I think I get a bit of breather for October, although I'm going to be doing Halloweenapalooza for the whole month, so probably not on the breather. But giving stuff away is fun, right? Right! And fun is never hard work. *looks left and right* okay, okay, I didn't believe that either!
I've just put up another reprint. Slowly working to get that backlist up. I took a break after getting all the Hammer books, and Jarheads, and such up because whoa there were a lot of them, but now I'm getting back into the swing of it.

Smutty Excerpt:
“Okay, boy.” Blaze stood in front of Jet. “Your turn. Undress me.”
“How far, Master?”
“I want your mouth around my cock before we begin the orgasmpalooza.”
“Orgasmpalooza.” Jet stared at him, wide-eyed. “Did you seriously just say that?”
“I did. Orgasmpalooza. It sounds like a plan, doesn’t it?”
“God, it sounds utterly dorky and I love you.”
“Master Dorky,” he insisted before grinning, laughing. “I’m serious about the blow job first, though. Boy.”
“You know there’s nothing I like more.” Jet gave him a shaky smile. “You’ll have to help me get down, I think.”
“No I think you should lie on the table and I’ll straddle you.” He wasn’t going to make Jet kneel for an extended period of time.
Jet’s entire body relaxed a little bit, the visible relief strong, shocking. “Yes, Master.”
Then Jet eased Blaze’s leathers down over his hips. He hummed, enjoying the touches, but more than that, loving the fact that he could still give his boy what he needed. That he still knew. As Blaze made the right steps, Jet was easing into his headspace, into his submission.
He toed off his boots and pushed his leathers off the last bit so Jet didn’t have to bend all the way over. Then he took Jet’s shoulders and moved him over to the wide massage table. “Let’s get this scene started.”
“Yes, Master.” Jet climbed up, cock not hard yet, but beginning to fill. He would make sure it happened.
He climbed up after Jet, happy that the table was a little bigger than regulation, giving him enough room to set his knees on either side of Jet’s head without risking falling. Jet reached up and stabilized him, supported him, and opened like the cockhound he was.
“Needy slut.” Blaze was so glad to see it. Smiling, he rubbed the tip of his cock along Jet’s lips.
His boy lapped at him, working his slit just enough to make him shiver. He kept rubbing back and forth, using his own movement to tease Jet’s tongue along his cockhead. He licked his own lips, watching every move Jet made.

Daniel moaned softly, Chris on his knees, worshiping the man’s cock.
Blaze turned his attention back to his boy and pushed forward, cockhead sliding between Jet’s lips, and Jet opened up, eager and easy. He fed more of his cock into Jet’s mouth, groaning at the heat. When Jet began to suck, his groan turned into a full-blown moan. Nothing was like this. Nothing. “More, boy. I want more.”
Jet gave it to him, suction increasing, making him rock his hips to push his cock deeper into Jet’s mouth. It was so hot, and every time Jet’s suction increased, it got even better.
Jet made a soft noise, the sensation vibrating around his prick. Fuck, that was fine. Just what he needed.
He touched Jet’s cheek, fingers tracing the sharp cheekbones made sharper by the injury and lack of appetite. He slid his fingers down to touch where his cock disappeared between Jet’s lips, making another soft noise at the sensation of his own fingers sliding along his spit-slick prick.
No one had ever sucked quite like Jet. His boy needed better than anyone. Ever. And Blaze thanked every deity he could think of that they hadn’t lost this, that Jet could still suck, still wanted to.
With another loud noise, he pushed in harder, moving faster and going deeper, making Jet take him. Every single suck made his eyes cross, every swallow made him cry out. He wrapped both hands around Jet’s head as he knelt over his boy and just took Jet’s mouth like he owned it. He could see the flare of need in Jet’s green eyes and knew his boy was loving this as much as he was. He wanted to crow with the sheer joy, relief that he hadn’t lost this rushing through him in a strong wave.
His balls drew up tight against his body, and he knew he couldn’t make it last much longer. That was okay, though, because they had a whole fucking scene planned with lots of coming and lots of pleasure.
Jet groaned softly, tongue lashing his shaft, demanding more and more. Demanding that he fill Jet’s mouth with the proof of his need.
“Greedy, pushy boy.” It wasn’t a complaint at all; it was a compliment. And they were the last words he said, his come shooting out of him and flooding Jet’s mouth.

Random Friday
The todo list doesn't seem to be getting any shorter as the days go by and I feel like I'm flailing. Like I'm running on a treadmill - running and running but not actually getting anywhere. I'm sure all of a sudden I'll hit the tipping point where it feels like I'm actually getting somewhere, but I'm totally not there yet.
This'll be why I've been and will likely continue to be, a little absent on social media as I hunker down to do listing. Either that or you'll see me everywhere as I try and avoid said to do list. Lalalala, I can't see you, type of thing.
So my weekend is scheduled already - plenty of editing, blogpost creating and writing. The weather is supposed to be my version of gorgeous - not higher than 20C (68F) for the foreseeable - so that makes me very happy. I imagine there will be a few hotter days somewhere in the beginning of October, but hopefully not too hot at that point.
I have a stack of movies to watch, and a bunch of shows on the dvr, and they are tempting me! I need to be good and hold strong, though. Once all the edits are done and returned I will... have more edits to contend with, I'm sure!
Looks like this post has been brought to you by edits!
Have a great Friday everyone and an even better weekend.

Randomly on a Wednesday
Missed any sort of weekend post. Missed My God It's Monday. Missed Movie Tuesday. O.o
Of course since Friday I've had six edits drop into my mail box and 5 of those are novels... there's ten cover art forms due, and I've got at least a dozen blog posts to write... yes, that's me you see running around screaming and waving my arms in the air, totally flailing.
Since I updated my iPhone, several times a day it beeps at me and tells me I need to breathe. it runs through about a minute of breathing for me if I hit okay instead of snooze. I really need the zen right now so I'm trying to do it at least once a day.
I tell you what has made me happy and less stressed, though, is hitting the love button on posts on FB today - for most folks you get a little fireworks explosion of hearts when you do that. It's a little bit addictive, so while it's fun and happy making, it's also taking time from when I should be working on, well anything really, but especially edits.
All this editing is also cutting into my organizing October time. See, I'm planning a Halloweenpalooza for the entire month of October. There will be daily giveaways of books, weekly non-book fun giveaways and a grand prize on the 31st. Now if I could just find a half hour here and there to get myself properly organized... because if I don't, I can guarantee you that I will be playing catch-up the entire month and getting Halloween themed prizes out in December!
I wanna do a post about the new TV season, but that's going to have to wait. Maybe I'll save it for next week's Movie Tuesday. If my head hasn't exploded by then ;)
Okay, I've got to get back into the fray.
Oh! Happy Humping Day to all!

Excerpt:
Jet floated, caught in a haze of pain and exhaustion and one dream after another. Nothing wanted to move, nothing felt good or solid or right. His heart tugged at him, wanting Blaze in the worst way. His head knew better, though.
His left side was… trashed. He’d been through nine surgeries already, and the doctors said there were more to come. His knee had been replaced, his shattered arm stitched and unstitched and restitched. And his face. God. He hadn’t even looked, but there was nothing but bandages when he explored.
He was broken. His jaw was wired shut. He wasn’t going to be able to go home for weeks. From here, he was going to a nursing facility. He didn’t want to see anyone.
Especially Blaze.
How could face his handsome stud of his lover like this?
“Jet? Jet, honey?” His mom knocked on the door and opened it, all smiles. “I brought you a coffee milkshake and a soft blanket. I hate the blankets here.”
She didn’t flinch away from him, she didn’t wince. She met him head-on.
He was fucking grateful for that and he mustered up what he hoped was a smile for her.
“You’re the best. I don’t suppose you brought something for me to do?” Hopefully she understood him through his wired teeth.
“I brought you your iPad and the charger and this neat thing that I have to figure out, but it holds the tablet up.”
“Thanks, Mom.”
She put the iPad on the tray table and swung it over in front of him.
“Blaze called me last night,” she told him as she opened up the tablet holder.
“Yeah?” Just hearing Blaze’s name hurt.
“He doesn’t understand why you won’t let him come.” She looked up at him. “I don’t understand myself.”
“You know why. Look at me.” His nickname had been Hollywood. He was the one with the pretty-boy face, the lean muscles, skin like coffee.
Now he was hamburger meat.
Blaze wouldn’t want him; Blaze would be sorry for him. He’d rather just go out in a… well, in a blaze of glory.
“You think that’s going to matter? That man loves you.”
“And I love him.” So he was doing the right thing. He wasn’t going to go back to work now. They’d already put him on disability. They didn’t know if he was going to walk, if his hand was going to work. What? Blaze was going to play hard with this body?
Christ, he’d die before he had to watch Blaze cheat on him, find someone else. Or worse, just become a sexless thing like him. No. No, if he got better, if he got whole, he’d go win Blaze back.
She clucked and began fussing with his pillows. “You’re being a stubborn ass.”
“Surprise, surprise. When are you heading home?”
“I can go now if you want to be alone.” She pursed her lips and raised an eyebrow at him.
“I meant for good. I know you can’t just… stay here forever.”
“I’ll stay as long as you need me, son.” She pulled the chair over next to his bed and pulled out her knitting.
He closed his eyes against the wave of hysteria that hit him.
“You need anything, honey?”
Blaze.
For it to be ten days ago.
A hamburger he could chew.
“Just the shake, please.”
She put a straw in it and set it on the table, moving it closer to him. “You need me to put the straw in your mouth?”
He grabbed the straw with his lips and pulled gently, the wires on his teeth got cold fast.
God, he hated this. Every fucking second of it.
“Blaze offered to let me stay at your house instead of a hotel,” Mom told him.
“I thought you said he called you last night?”
She nodded. “He did. From the firehouse. He was on a shift.”
“Oh.” His beautiful, strong lover. Master. Best friend. Taking care of his mother. That was Blaze all over again.
He closed his eyes, tears sliding down his cheeks, and he hit the morphine button again. He hurt. He hurt all the way down to his soul.

Random Friday
It is a stunningly beautiful day. No humidity. A nice breeze. It started out as 6C (around 42F) which put it at just below the magical threshold of 7C is where you can start to see your breath - and I totally did when I was out walking the dog first thing. It was glorious.
I'm watching Team Ninja Warrior, which I DVRed, and it's so much fun watching them go head to head. Beautiful bodies, incredible abilities. It's amazing to watch. I love all things Ninja Warrior.
Did you hear that Underground: Emergency Services is out? I might be a little exited about it.
I want to do a big thing for October - Halloween Month. I already have my door wreath and this year I've picked up a fog machine. Not just a fog machine - a fog machine that blows fog-filled bubbles! But I meant online, really. I need to find pics and neat links and stuff and really do it up.
I love Halloween, almost as much as I do Christmas.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Contest Winner and New Contest
Congrats to SMM, winner of an ebook copy of From the Get Go (which is on pre-order at Dreamspinner and will be available for download on September 28).
So it's time for a new contest and I found a little plush white bear and plush lion to represent Harry and Metro from Shifter Rescue: Spirit. So just send me an email -- seanmichaelwrites @ gmail . com (without the spaces) -- with "plushy spirit" in the subject line before midnight Thursday next week. I will randomly choose a winner on Friday. I do mail items overseas (yes, even to Australia) so feel free to enter no matter where you live.
When spirit-bear shifter Harry bursts into the Old Tavern, Pirou is more than happy to offer sanctuary to the bleeding and terrified man. After all, hysterical and clearly abused, Harry is just the kind of shifter the rescue operation is made for.
Metro is a friend of the rescue who comes in once a month to do the books. When he sees Harry, he feels sympathy for the little bear, and something deeper, too. As he spends more time with Harry, Metro falls for him. But will Harry ever be able to let go of the things that were done to him long enough to let Metro in?
Only time and patience will tell. Fortunately Metro's got both...

Underground: Special Teams
When Hunter Simms goes undercover at an underground BDSM party, the last thing he expects to see is SWAT’s leading shooter Keifer Magnessen bound, gagged, plugged and very bare. He is immediately drawn to Keifer, and wants to get to know his fellow cop better. Much better.
With such a high stress job, Keifer needs to give up control on his down time in order to decompress, but it’s a secret he holds close to his vest. So, when Hunter walks into his chosen place to submit, he tries to cut and run. Lucky for him, Hunter is shrewd, persistent and quite possibly just the Dom that Keifer needs.
Can these two strong men find a way to make their personal lives mesh?

Movie Tuesday
Two movies and two police procedurals this past week.
I happened upon City of Ember and it was interesting. An adaptation of a kids' book, I'm sure. I spent the first half of the movie wondering where I'd seen the male lead before and then it hit me - he played Victor Frankenstein in Penny Dreadful. He looks much older in Penny. Ember was predictable, but an enjoyable way to spend a couple hours.
I while ago I'd dvr'd Zoombies. Oh God, this is a bad movie, but the actors are giving it their all like they don't even know. I totally enjoyed this for all the wrong reasons. I can't say I'd recommend it because it really is a bad movie. It is however, highly entertaining.
I watched the last episode of The Night Of. It follows a single case from the day the crime was committed to jut after the end of the trial. It was fascinating to see how being in jail changes the kid who was charged with the murder. And how this seemingly innocent kid, wasn't as innocent as he seemed.
The Killing is in a similar vein, in that the whole season follows a single investigation. I'm watching it on Netflix, so I get to watch whenever I have time. I'm about halfway through and enjoying it very much. The acting is great, the characters are very well-developed. And a little more than halfway through the season, I'm still guessing who did it. I definitely recommend this one.
These two types of police procedural are very different from your standard where there might be a longer arc that goes over several episodes, or a tighter arc that goes over two episodes, but otherwise there's a new case every week. I think the advent of Netflix and services like that allows for these type of stories to be told over an entire season, because of the nature of being able to binge watch the shows.
And I do love the binge watching aspect. Often I'll DVR (I still go to type in tape whenever I talk about DVRing a show because that's what it always was until recently) a show for most of the season and then go back and binge watch. It's funny, though, because while a lot of shows lend themselves to that, or work doing that, there's some that suffer a little. The sameness of each episode comes out, or it's too intense to watch too many of in a row.
Happy Tuesday!

My God It's Monday
A late one today - but I was busy, not just with work, but I made bread and butter pickles. It always amazes me how quickly the cucumber becomes a pickle. You stick the pickles in the boiling brine, bring it back up to a boil and voila, they are done - they totally taste like bread and butter pickles like you get in the jars. Only a little bit better because they've been made with my own hands.
Had the cover reveal for Underground: Emergency Services today and then I was too excited to wait and put it up on All Romance as a pre-order. It'll be available for download on the 15th (Thursday) there and on Amazon. I really can't wait to share Jet and Blaze with everyone. I loved writing them!
Underground: Emergency Services
Can love truly conquer all?
Jet Wannabi has been working undercover for over a year with nothing more than the odd furtive phone call to his lover and master, Blaze Swanson. When the SWAT and Narcotics teams roll in early, Jet gets trapped between them and the bad guys, with disastrous results.
Firefighter Blaze Swanson is more than ready to have his lover and sub home with him when he finds out that Jet’s been hurt in the bust. He gets to the hospital as fast as humanly possible, only to find out that Jet has banned Blaze from seeing him. Jet believes he’s ruined and that letting Blaze go to live his life is the right thing to do.
Blaze is going to have to call on all of his stubbornness, love, patience and abilities as a Dom to convince Jet that not only do they need each other, but the lifestyle they’ve enjoyed in the past is not out of reach, not if Jet puts his trust in his master to take care of him.
Join Blaze and Jet on their journey to rediscover how they fit together.

Suddenly Sunday
It's a gorgeous day! Low humidity, blow skies, a nice breeze and a temperature under 25! I have the front and back doors open, getting a cross-breeze going through. It's so nice to have fresh air blowing through the house. Cool fresh air.
Yesterday was full of errands and doing things and felt like go go go until supper, which was at Moxie's. I do love their steak and their sushi cones. And I discovered that their berry pavlova is extremely yummy - it's crunchy and creamy, sweet and tart and very bright in the mouth - hits a lot of great notes.
Today was less wandering and less getting stuff done, and more lazily enjoying the absolutely gorgeous day. I've got shrimp skewers for the grill tonight and I'll be doing some grits to go with them.
I went to T&T, it's an Asian supermarket and they had Dong as their in store special. I wonder if they knew I was coming? Seems pretty cheap to me, too.
I also went to Ikea because it had been too long since I'd had the 'wrench' sour candy. Yeah, wrench is in quotes because it looks way more like a cock and balls than any other sort of tool. I also got a bunch of raspberry puckers, which don't look like anything suggestive, but there is the small matter of their name...
This coming week is filling up quickly. I have two edits that came in this weekend that need to be done. Tomorrow is the cover reveal for Emergency Services and then I have to put the book files up on All Romance and Amazon for Thursday.
If anyone would like to host a blog tour date for the book - let me know via email, or in the comments, or FB message me or something. I'd love to get the word out to as many folks as possible. I can't wait for everyone to meet Jet and Blaze - my cop and firefighter. I'm super excited about this one.
Have a great rest of the weekend.

Smutterday - Reclaiming
Immortal Ink: Reclaiming is available on all the distributors on Tuesday September 13. I thought I'd share a little smutty excerpt to wet your appetite.
Immortal Ink: Reclaiming
Beau thought Aaron was dead to him… Imagine his surprise when his former lover slinks into his tattoo shop.
Eight months ago, vampire Beaudelaire Delacourte had it all. As a tattoo artist, he used his special ink and spells to permanently tattoo other immortals and spent countless hours feeding and indulging in BDSM with his human lover, Aaron. Then he asked to turn Aaron so his lover could join him permanently, but Aaron refused, not willing to give up his humanity. Since then, Beau has kept his head down and stayed in his shop, only interacting with his clients who all come for his special brand of ink.
When Aaron shows up on his doorstep, half-dead and apologizing, Beau is shocked to learn that his boy was turned at the local vampire club by Stephan, another vampire. Not only was Aaron turned, but his chest was torn open, his fangs were broken and he was left in an alley to die. Spurred by the need to see Beau one last time, Aaron has been hiding in an abandoned building until he found the strength to make it to Beau’s shop.
Beau takes his boy in again, promising that Aaron will earn his place back in Beau’s bed, and vowing that he will take revenge on Stephan. Unbeknownst to Beau, Aaron is only the first in a long line of humans who Stephan has created then turned out to fend for themselves. As Beau discovers that this is only one of the old rules that Stephan has broken, he and Aaron are drawn into a web of intrigue that can only end in someone’s death.
Reader Advisory: This books contains severe biting and bloodplay during sex between vampires. There is also a scene of fisting and some scenes of violence.

Smutty excerpt:
Beau woke up wrapped around Aaron. He hadn’t meant to get Aaron back in his bed so quickly. He’d wanted to make Aaron earn it, sweat for it. But Aaron hadn’t settled, crawling under the bed every night and enduring nightmares, even after he’d helped Aaron to build a wall around his mind. Enough was enough.
Besides, he’d lost eight months’ worth of blow jobs—it was about time he caught up.
The sun was waning, he could feel it. People would expect him to open, but he thought he’d leave the doors closed tonight. He wanted to explore and feed his boy. Now that he’d let Aaron into his heart again, he intended to indulge.
There would be plenty of time to finish gathering his intel and dealing with the man who’d stolen what belonged to Beau.
Today he intended to start by giving Aaron a long, hot bath. Following that, he’d take his boy’s ass and make Aaron scream. Then perhaps he’d pierce Aaron’s cock, put in ownership of that sensitive area. Just the thought had him licking his lips and sliding his hand to wrap around the flesh in question.
Aaron moaned at his touch, the sound low and needy.
Later he would add a tattoo—a thorny rose vine. Only, the thorns would bite Aaron and not him. But first the ring in the tip. His boy would love it. Aaron always had been a bit of a pain slut. Beau pressed his thumb into Aaron’s slit, working it until drops of pre-cum began to form. From here on in, his boy would wake hard, aroused and needing every single time.
Beau loved that Aaron was coming back to him, coming back to life. He loved that it was because of him. They still had plenty of road to travel, but they were on it now, and Aaron was his, despite what Stephan had done.
Beau nudged Aaron’s balls with his knees as he tugged harder on the long cock. Aaron’s eyes flew open, his name on the sweet lips. He smiled, and stimulated Aaron’s slit once again. Aaron’s legs curled up, the little needy slut still so into slit play. Oh, the games they would have, starting today. He pushed his thumb hard into the little hole. Aaron took it, bucked into it even, begging for more.
“I always did love the way you needed.” He rubbed his nail back and forth across the lips of Aaron’s slit.
Aaron stared, those pretty eyes filling with color.
“Hungry, boy?”
“Yes, M…Sir.”
Oh, he noticed the slip and it made him smile. Eventually Aaron would call him Master. When they both recognized that he’d earned it. “Hungry for blood, cum or me?”
Aaron answered without hesitation. “You.”
He’d known what the answer would be, but he still loved hearing it.
He brought their mouths together, kissing Aaron with all his considerable being. Aaron melted against him, wrapped around him and held on.
Such a needy boy. It had been a shock when Aaron had turned him down all those months ago, refusing his offer of life together eternally. He’d known even then that alive or turned, only he could feed the hungers that lived inside Aaron.
Aaron reached up, grabbing on as Beau held his hips still. He bit at Aaron’s lower lip, then at his jaw, moving from there to Aaron’s throat. Just as last night, Aaron lifted his chin without hesitation. Beau let his teeth sink in, marking Aaron by his bite. Aaron’s belly went tight, the muscles rippling visibly.
Beau lapped at the blood he’d drawn up, groaning at the coppery taste of his boy. He wouldn’t be able to feed like he had when Aaron was human, but he could taste, share the electric zing of another demon’s life force. He only took a little bit this time—when Aaron was at full strength and had just fed, they’d be able to trade blood back and forth. It would drive his boy out of his mind.
A tiny voice whispered that his boy had been strong enough to survive six months of sheer hell and maintain his sanity. Aaron was going to be amazing when he had his strength back, when he believed that Beau was happy to have him back and that Aaron belonged to him.
Beau bit at Aaron’s left nipple. Aaron groaned, the sound like two boulders sliding together.

Smutterday - Catching a Second Wind
I recently re-released Catching a Second Wind as a self-pub. It is currently 17% off at All Romance Ebooks. (17% because I wanted the price to basically be 4.99 and that was the closest I could come. I get OCD about weird thing...)
When Dakota lost Mike he thought he was done for when it came to love. After losing a lifetime partner, he figures it’s even affecting his ability to do his job as a veterinarian, which is why he lets his friends convince him to see a psychologist.
Ben is understanding, sympathetic, and a good listener. He’s also the most attractive thing Dakota has seen in a long time. Before they know it, Dakota and Ben are moving from being in a doctor patient relationship to something a lot more interesting, and that presents a whole new set of problems.
Can these two put aside the past and build a new life together, one that is uniquely theirs? Find out in this Sean Michael Classic!

Smutty excerpt:
He kissed Ben's palm again, tongue sliding out to taste.
Ben gasped softly, fingers curling against his cheek. "Kota..."
"Yeah, Ben? Should I stop?”
"Oh, please, no." Ben slowly leaned down to him. He whimpered, lips parting as their mouths met. Oh. Oh. Ben's breath pushed past his lips, the kiss soft, almost reverent. The lightning flashed, thunder loud and furious, but they were safe, warm, wrapped in this peace. Ben's hands cupped his face, fingers warm and soft, so gentle even as Ben's tongue slid along his lips and dipped in. Oh. Oh, he hadn't been kissed in months, hadn't been touched and he was aching for it, skin drinking up the contact like parched earth took the rain. Ben moaned softly, lips sliding away from his. "Oh, Kota... feels good, feels really, really good."
"Yeah. Feels mighty fine." He reached out, stroked Ben's lips. Ben's tongue flicked out and slid across his fingertips, a soft shiver going through the long body. "You... you hungry yet?" He was. He was starving for more.
Ben shook his head. "I don't want to eat. I want... I want to keep kissing you, Kota. But I don't want to push you."
"Oh." He shifted, leaning their bellies together. "Kiss me."
Ben moaned softly, brown eyes warmer than a July sun, and bent again, bringing their mouths together in a kiss that started just as soft as the others had, but that got more serious fast. His hands were in Ben's hair, hips cuddled right up against Ben's, lips open and eager.
Another moan filled his mouth, Ben's hands cupping his head, thumbs stroking his cheeks. Kota melted, the sensations amazing, necessary, body waking up like he'd been hibernating. One of Ben's hands slid down along his back, the movement soft and slow. He moaned, he couldn't help it, nerve after nerve fired, leaving him gasping, hard as nails. Ben's hand snaked underneath his sweater, sliding over skin now as Ben's tongue teased his back into Ben's mouth.
Oh, Ben tasted sweet, easy, the passion between them soft-edged and all rising warmth. He backed away, moaning as their lips parted, and he pressed back in, needing. Ben's lips covered his again, Ben sucking on his lower lip, teeth grazing it lightly, tongue sliding after. His hands slid around Ben's waist, holding them together. Ben's moan pushed into his mouth and Ben tilted his head slightly, deepening the kiss, the long body moving restlessly against his. He shifted over until their hips found the right spots, snuggling up tight together, cock beside cock, just rubbing. Ben whimpered, body finding a rhythm, hips pushing up into him again and again. Ben's eyes never left his, so wide and aroused, full of wonder.
"Oh..." His hands settled on Ben's ass, encouraging the motions. Another whimper filled his mouth, Ben's hand sliding along his back. "Ben..." Those eyes were stunned, warm, needy.
Ben didn't say anything, just brought their mouths back together in another kiss, fed him another whimper. Their hips continued to slide together, cocks rubbing through two layers of jeans. The sky got darker, the world going all small and tight and focused on them. The kiss got deeper, the need spreading between them and growing sharper, harder.
He cried out, the sound low, rough, hips jerking with his need.
"Kota, oh." Ben's hands slid down to grab his ass, pulling them together harder, breath becoming harsh. He bucked and came, eyes rolling, Ben's name on his lips.
"Kota." Ben whispered his name, hands squeezing his ass as warm brown eyes went even wider. Ben jerked up, eyes rolling as he came, too.
They rested together, panting, hearts slowing. Kota didn't know what to say, so he didn't, he just held on.

Smutterday - Shifter Rescue: Spirit
As promised, here is a smutty excerpt for Shifter Rescue: Spirit
Fortunately Metro's got both...

smutty excerpt:
“Come into the tub,” Master Lion suggested, taking his hands and walking backward, slowly drawing him into the water which was again both clean and hot.
“I like the warm, clean water.” That was a blessing.
“I’ve always taken it for granted,” Master Lion admitted. “I’ll not do that again -- I’ll remember that it is a blessing and that I’m lucky to have never wanted for it.”
“Yes. Yes.” No one wanted to be dirty and foul. No one.
Master Lion splashed him gently, the water flying against him.
He laughed suddenly, surprised and pleased. “Master Lion!”
“Yes?” Master Lion drew back, looking not the least bit innocent.
“You splashed me!” He couldn’t stop laughing, not at all.
“I did!” Master Lion laughed with him, and splashed him again.
Harry dared to splash back, careful not to get Master Lion’s face. More laughter sounded and Master Lion leaned in, pressing their lips together. Lightning slid down his spine and his eyes went wide. Oh. Oh, dear. Oh.
Master Lion moved their lips gently together, making his tingle. He reached out, flailing a bit, searching for a place to settle. Master Lion grabbed his hands and brought them to the broad shoulders. The kissing did not stop.
One gentle peck led to another and another, and each one felt like it built on the one before. Drawing back a tiny bit, Master Lion rubbed their noses together, smiling at him.
“You gave me kisses.” And he had liked it.
“I did. I want to give you more of them, too. And I want to give you touches and pleasure and orgasms.”
His eyebrow went up, his head tilted. “What are those?”
“Oh, Harry, there is so much for you to learn. And it’s all very good, I promise.” Master Lion kissed him again, tongue sliding into his mouth and the tingles got bigger.
“You’re tasting my mouth,” Harry said.
“I am. I want to taste all of you.”
What a silly thing to say.
“I’m not as good as berries,” Harry pointed out. They were sweet and bright and wonderful.
“I imagine you’re better than berries, little bear. Way better.” Master Lion leaned in and licked the water from his collarbone.
Harry gasped, his body tightening and flooding with sudden heat.
Another lick slid along his skin, Master Lion holding his hands on the broad shoulders, keeping them there. “You taste divine, Harry.”
He lifted his hand from beneath Master Lion’s and licked the back. “I taste clean.”
“I can taste more than just clean. There’s something very… little bear, very you about the flavor of your skin.”
“Do you taste differently from me?”
“I figure I do. Would you like to taste me?”
“It’s okay?” He didn’t want to do anything wrong.
Master Lion nodded. “I want you to taste me. Please?”
He leaned forward, licking a long line along Master Lion’s collarbone.
Master Lion moaned and tilted his head to the side. “More, please.”
“More.” Harry let his tongue drag over the stubbled throat.
“Your tongue feels so good on my skin,” Master Lion told him. “Like it’s magic.”
“No. This is tasting. Magic is different.”
“Is it? Are you sure this isn’t a kind of magic?” Master Lion asked, head still tilted, offering him lots of skin.
“No. No, I’m not sure.” He licked again, floating closer.
“Your licks feel so good.” Master Lion’s voice had dropped.
“You taste like clean and wind and grasses.”
“See? That’s different than how you taste. You taste clean and sweet, like wild berries.”
The best part was the clean. That was best.
Master Lion pressed their lips together again, tongue tasting the inside of his mouth. It made him ache inside, like he was heavy, like he was thick. Drawing a hand down his back, Master Lion stroked his skin.
His body began to fill, his penis becoming erect, and he swatted at it.
“Careful, little bear! Be gentle with that.” Master Lion stroked his penis, making it even harder.
“I’ll...This…” He couldn’t think, his eyes crossed.
“Shh. It feels good, doesn’t it? I want to make you feel good.” Master Lion wrapped his hand right around Harry’s cock and began to stroke. Harry felt each pull throughout his whole body.

smutty excerpt:

Random Friday
Yesterday was stupid humid out, but today while still warm is better. Tomorrow is supposed to be hotter, but then Sunday is supposed to be quite nice. I'm crossing my fingers it turns out to be accurate. I would love a mellow weather day.
Didn't get nearly as much accomplished this week as I had been hoping to. That's okay, there is nothing time sensitive on my todo list that needs to be looked at before Monday. So yay for that. I am planning on a lazy weekend. Maybe I'll have a movie marathon.
I have a lovely little beta fish I named Fairy, because he looks like one with his wing like fins. Every morning I turn on the little light on his tank and put in six teeny tiny pellets, one at a time so I know for sure he's eaten them and they aren't decorating the bottom of the tank, making it go off. He's trained now. As soon as I turn that light on, he makes his way to the corner of the tank where I slip the food in. I didn't know you could train fish, but apparently you can. He also has a 'hammock' which is a plastic leaf suction cupped to the wall a couple inches from the top of the tank. This is so that he can rest. I thought the sales lady was having me on, but he totally uses it at least once a day, lying quite still on it. It's a little bizarre but also really neat.
I ave a relatively black thumb. The fact that I actually have some plants that seem to be doing pretty well in my little plant corner is kind of amazing. My big thing is remembering to water them...
I hope everyone has a good weekend!

Contest Winner and New Contest
Picked a winner the day I said I would. Do you think we need to start looking for other signs of the apocalypse?
The winner of an ebook copy of Shifter Rescue: Spirit is Celeste S. -- congratulations!
The new contest is for an ebook copy of From the Get Go, which is currently available on pre-order, and is available for download on September 28.
Send me an email with 'get go' in the subject line to seanmichaelwrites @ gmail . com (without the spaces) before Wednesday September 14 and I will randomly draw a winner.
When easygoing Texas artist Dakin McBride makes his way to Ottawa, Canada, for a showing, he meets Jeff Tamrin, the fastidious manager of the Sussex Gallery. Despite coming from different worlds and being opposites in almost every way, the attraction is immediate, and soon Dakin and Jeff negotiate their own brand of diplomatic relations, forgetting all about art or seeing the sights the city has to offer. They get wrapped up in the moment, each of them intrigued by what he feels for the other.
The more they get to know each other, the more they like what they see. Dakin has a life to go back to in Texas, though, and Jeff has his own in Canada. Is there any way for their budding romance to survive the thousands of miles separating them? The relationship seems doomed, but at the same time, it feels too right to give up without a fight.

Throwback Thursday the second
It's Star Trek's 50th birthday today! I totally want to do a throwback thursday post for this, too, so I am. Two today makes up some for all the ones I don't get to ;)
I can remember watching Star Trek reruns when I was a kid. They were on CBC on Sunday mornings and I loved them. It's funny, because you look at them and they're cheesy as hell. But they were groundbreaking. Of course at the time, all I cared about was being entertained and they were indeed entertaining. I have been a sci-fi fan from early on.
I remember how excited I was when I found out they were making another series. I had moved out on my own at that point, and Star Trek: The Next Generation was on Saturday evenings. I remember my sister would come over and we'd order either Chinese food (I can't remember where from) or pizza from Bonora, a local pizza place. We'd eat and watch Star Trek and hang out. Every Saturday for it's entire run, if I remember correctly.
I also remember the 'remote'. You see, we didn't always get to sit in our chairs and change the TV channels. You used to have to go up to the TV and change it manually. I had the first 'cable box' which doubled as a channel changer. It was a rectangular light brown box with twenty five buttons. Whichever button you pressed in was the channel it went to. And there was a toggle to adjust things slightly. Oh! And I shouldn't forget the wire that went from the TV to the box, so you could only take it so far.
Ah, the things you take for granted nowadays...

Throwback Thursday
Back when I was a kid I use to have to walk uphill both ways... No, seriously, though. I have always loved September. While I was always ready for school to be over and summer to start at the end of the school year, by the time back to school rolled around I was totally ready and looking forward to it. From elementary up to university, I just loved school. So back to school to me was always a wonderful time of the year.
Nowadays I look forward to September for it meaning that summer is over. Of course so far September has been more hot than not, but there's a promise of fall coming soon. Supposedly, Sunday is going to have a high of 21C with an overnight low of 12C. These are temperatures I can get behind.
In elementary, I can remember lining up by grades, with our final report cards from the year before in hand so the teachers could make sure we were in the right line. As I walked past the elementary school near where I live the other morning, I could see the kids lining up by grade. Some things never change, it seems.
Funnily enough, I can't remember what the process was for high school. Why would I remember the elementary first day of school routine but not the high school one? Weird.
But back to school always meant school supplies - pens and paper and rulers, protractors. It meant new teachers and new classrooms. New textbooks and new books for English. It meant a brand new semester without any grades yet, and everything had the potential to be awesome.
I do get nostalgic for it sometimes and think how much fun it would be to take a few courses. But then the urge passes -- usually about the time the boys start getting noisy in my head again!
To relate this back to books - I have a book featuring a couple of college students - The Tutor. It's currently 40% off on All Romance Ebooks through to the 15th.
Peter is used to guys coming and going. College is all about experimentation, after all, and Kai is new to the whole experience. Still, he's more than willing to help Kai learn all of the ins and outs of college life, even if the kid leaves in the end.
Kai is a lot less fickle than Peter thinks, though, and is curious about everything his new tutor can teach him, in and out of the classroom.
Can these two make the grade?

Not Quite Smutterday - Made to Order
So it was smutterday yesterday, but I figure smut a day late is still smut ;)
Today's smutty excerpt is from Made to Order. It's a reprint that I've self-pubbed.
Sarge is a man of routine. That's what happens to longtime military men; they go to the same restaurants and eat the same meals every week. Of course, the draw of Sarge's favorite diner might just be the very handsome Jack.
When Jack finds out that Sarge is planning on spending Christmas alone, he decides to make his move on the man he's been admiring for a long while. Even if nothing happens, he wants to share his holiday with Sarge, who he's come to think of as a friend. Can these two lonely men find out that Christmas is better when they have someone to share it with?

smutty excerpt:
He figured he was only going to have a problem if Sarge didn't kiss him at all.
Those gnarled hands were surprisingly hot as they tilted his face. There were flecks of pale, pale grey in those blue eyes and he could tell the man used to have hair dark as his own by the lashes that surrounded them. The first touch of their lips together was firm, sure, confident, very much like the man himself.
Oh, it felt good -- hot -- and it went straight to his cock.
Sarge made the softest sound, just sort of breathed it against his lips, but it was hot and rich and made him feel so good. His lips parted slightly, tongue coming out to taste Sarge's lips. The man tasted of cigars and dip and pure male.
There was nothing soft or tentative about the Sarge's response. His lips were opened, mouth explored with a determined hunger. A shudder of need went through him, and he opened his mouth wide, offering Sarge everything he would take. And damned if Sarge didn't take. The kiss stole his breath, his good sense, made him hard as a rock.
Jack moaned and shifted, hips pushing, searching the air for something to rub against. One of Sarge's hands, hot and sure and hard, cupped his cock, gave him that pressure, that friction he needed. Oh, that was nice. It was damned fine and he reached out, hand finding Sarge's thigh and sliding along it to the man's crotch, eager to give pleasure as well as take it.
Sarge must have thought so, too, given the way those muscled thighs parted and the kiss turned from hot to blazing in seconds.
It was awkward, the way they were sitting, but it felt too damned good to suggest moving, so he just went with it, tongue tangling with Sarge's, hand working the very thick, very hot, very hard bulge under his palm.
Sarge leaned back a little, panting. "I'm too old to be creaming my jeans, Jack. There a problem with unzipping, finding skin?"
He liked the way Sarge was upfront, no games, no coyness, just straight shooting. So to speak. It made him reciprocate with equal forthrightness. "You wanna get horizontal, too? My bedroom's not that far and the bed's big enough for two."
"Your turkey going to be able to wait a while?" Sarge's thumb stroked along his prick, firm, insistent.
He groaned, a shudder going through him at the touch. "I'll turn it down."
"Good." Sarge stood, held out one hand. "Show me your room."
He let Sarge help him out, holding the weathered hand as he made his way back to the kitchen to turn the turkey way down and then on to his bedroom. He'd built the house himself and his bedroom was a beauty -- floor to ceiling windows made up one wall, the other three made up of several woods patterned together. He was proud of this room, but right now, all he wanted was to get Sarge naked and show him the bed.
The thought made him chuckle. "I don't even know your real name, Sarge," he said when he went for Sarge's buttons.
"Bill. Name's Bill." Sarge's hands framed his face and he was given another long, hot kiss.
"Bill..." he murmured, capturing Bill's tongue and sucking on it as his hands pushed the shirt off Sarge's back. Bill was solid and broad, but wiry, skin smooth and hot under his hands. He explored the muscles with his fingers, learning them.
Oh, the man felt good. Really good.
His own shirt was opened and pushed off, Sarge tugging them tight together, groaning low as their skin met. Sliding his hands over Sarge's back, he opened his mouth wide beneath Bill's onslaught, cock still hard, pleasure giving him goose bumps.
Bill's thumbs hooked into his waistband, fingers framing his ass. The man was just hot and sexy, and Jack was damned glad they were doing this. He pushed back into Bill's hands, his own fingers searching for Sarge's nipples.
Tight and hard for him, Sarge's body rippled as he squeezed and he found himself hauled against that strong body, hips rubbing. "Lose the pants, Jack. I want to see."
He moaned, Bill's gruff order zinging straight to his cock. He followed the order, too, fingers fumbling before he got the belt, button and zipper out of the way, pushing the pants from his hips.
Sarge rumbled softly, stepping forward to take his cock in hand, balls cupped with the other. "Mmm. Looks good."

Look! I'm only a day late picking a winner for my last contest - a print copy of The Luckiest Master! Be sure to watch out for other signs of the Apocalypse as you're out and about today.
The winner of a print copy of The Luckiest Master is Jody A. Congrats!
This week's contest is for an ebook copy of Shifter Rescue: Spirit. The book comes out on Friday so I'll close the contest at midnight on Thursday - and draw the winner on Friday morning.
Just send me an email with "Spirit" in the subject line to seanmichaelwrites @ gmail . com (without the spaces) for your chance to win and I'll randomly draw a winner on Friday morning.
When spirit bear shifter Harry bursts into the Old Tavern calling for sanctuary, Pirou is more than happy to offer it to the bleeding and terrified man.
Will Harry ever be able to let go of the things that were done to him long enough to let Metro in? Only time and patience will tell.

Throwback Thursday
Sometime I know exactly what I'm going to chat about for Throwback Thursdays, other days I'm not so sure. How far back do you go for it to still be a throwback? Is two years enough?
I guess today I'll talk about Underground: Special Teams. This one came out two years ago this month. The cover, done by Kris Norris, is so hot. She's done the cover for the next one for me, too. Yum.
I had a blast writing Special Teams. It was one of those where I had a general idea about doing a series that followed guys from an underground club rather than anything official, just guys getting together to play, to socialize, to find others who were like-minded. Some are already paired up, others are single and looking. Then Keifer showed up and Hunter was right behind him going, that one is mine! I don't argue with the characters, especially when they write as hard and fast as these guys did. I had an absolute blast with them.
With the next Underground novel coming out mid-month, I thought I'd feature Special Teams and it's currently 35% off at All Romance. It's also available at Amazon, but you can't put books on sale there, so full price. All Romance does have the mobi file available.

With such a high stress job, Keifer needs to give up control on his down time in order to decompress, but it’s a secret he holds close to his vest. So, when Hunter walks into his chosen place to submit, he tries to cut and run. Lucky for him, Hunter is shrewd, persistent and quite possibly just the Dom that Keifer needs.
Can these two strong men find a way to make their personal lives mesh?
