Mix Up Some Romance Blog Hop!

I'm taking part in the Mix Up Some Romance Blog Hop!

The big prize is a mixer (see below) but I thought I'd give away a copy of my book Recipe for Love. Just leave a comment on this post anytime between now and October 13 (please make sure you leave your email address if you want to be in the draw so I have somewhere to send the book once a winner is chosen). I'll pick a random winner on the 14th (as I'm away for Thanksgiving -- earlier this side of the border than in the US!)

Jack's life is already on a downward spiral when his teenage daughter Rache shows up on his doorstep, and she’s pregnant. When he takes her to confront Billy, the boy who knocked her up on her last visit, he discovers the boy's uncle, Dan, who is not just a fine baker, but a real stud.

Much to Jack's surprise, it looks like Billy is going to step up and assume his responsibilities with Rache. And for Jack, now that he's met Daniel, could it be that the rest of his life is also looking up? Of course there's the small matter of Daniel not knowing that Jack is actually gay...

It's available at Amber Allure!

Sweet and Spicy Chicken Bites

This is one of my favorite recipes. Leftovers can be warmed up in the microwave or just popped into your mouth cold. They're a great munchie!

Ingredients
1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless, chicken breasts (about 4 breasts)
1 (1-pound) package sliced bacon
2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes. Cut each bacon slice into thirds. Wrap each chicken cube with bacon and secure with a wooden pick. Stir together brown sugar and chili powder. Dredge wrapped chicken in mixture. Coat a rack and broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place chicken wrap on rack in broiler pan. Bake 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

I can't remember where I originally picked this up, but the recipe above is from The Food Network.

  10. Fall or Autumn is the time to eat tasty treats and this is a nice dish that we could serve at bonfire night in November (in the UK) and it is also the time to snuggle up inside, by an open fire, and read some smut :)

Thank you for a chance to win your book and being part of this blog hop. slholland30 {at} outlook {dot} com
