Temple and Luke are from the last book in the Chess series -- The Piercer's Game. This one more or less stands alone as it doesn't feature the Chess foursome except for in passing.

Smutty Advent - Day 30

Temple poured champagne into two glasses and handed one to Luke. It wasn't quite New Year's Eve yet, but they were home, they were together, and he wanted to celebrate now.

"Champagne? Wow, that's a treat!"

"I know, but our life is so good, it deserves to be noted."

"Always." Luke put the glass aside, stepped close and begged a kiss.

Grinning, he put his own glass down.

New Year's Eve, Christmas, whatever the celebration, Luke's sweet kisses were more appropriate and tasted better than any bubbly ever could.
