Smutty Advent - Day 3
Marcus came home and slipped his packages into the office before heading for the kitchen.
"Something smells wonderful."
"Pumpkin soup and garlic biscuits, Master."
"Mmm. Those are new."
His baby was becoming more than a little adventurous in the kitchen.
"It's okay, though, right? You don't hate pumpkin soup, do you?"
"I don't know, I can't say I've ever had it." He opened his arms for his boy.
"Oh, I hope it doesn't suck." Jim pushed into his arms, cuddled in.
"I bet it's delicious. It's almost Christmas isn't it?" He hugged Jim hard. "You couldn't serve me a bad dinner this close to Santa and elves."
Jim's laughter rang out. "Oh, sure I could. You remember the uncookable chicken?"
"I have tried, very hard, to wipe that whole thing from my memory!"
"You and me both, Master." Jim's kiss was merry, filled with all the joy.
Life was good most days, but Christmas upped the joy quotient enough to be noticeable and he did love how it made his boy glow.
"Merry month of Christmas, baby."
"Happy Christmas, Master. I love you."
"And I love you. More than I can ever actually tell you."
Which only made this time of the year all the better. No matter what was for dinner.
