Killian shook his head as Francis and Nick bounced out. "He's got some energy, doesn't he?"

"It's so good to see him so happy."

"It is. Were we ever that young, Treat?"

"Yes." Treat tugged him in, holding him close. "I remember when you were. This is our... mrrphhtieth Christmas together. So you were a baby on our first."

"Tiny. Incredibly young, you cradle robber."

Treat laughed, hugging Killian even tighter. "I had to have you. I still do."

"You have any appointments this afternoon, love?"

"No, I don't. And I know you don't either. We should shut the shop and play hooky. Have an early Christmas celebration."

"Works for me. Let's go play." It felt naughty as hell, which, while it didn't bode well for Santa's list, it worked for him.
