I did not go see any movies in the theatre last (to be honest I don't even know what's playing at the moment). I also didn't watch any at home. I'm looking forward to the Hobbs and Shaw moving coming out on BluRay and in the meantime, I've just been busy.
It is the start of the fall TV premiers and I've been watching a lot of those. New shows I have enjoyed the first premier of:
Prodigal Son - this one has a lot of potential, I hope they do it well
Evil - I like the fact that the believer has surrounded him himself with non-believers
All Rise - I wasn't sure about this one from the ads but it wasn't bad
Perfect Harmony - this was hilarious (and one of the few new comedies that I'll be watching again)
Bob Hearts Abishola - this was cute, I'll give it a few more episodes
Let's see if next Monday brings more movie with it ;)

Book Day Wednesday
Today I'm sharing someone else's book instead of my own! This is one of the most adorable covers I have ever seen, btw.
Land of Enchantment
East meets west. City meets country. Though there’s no denying opposites attract, can a college kid from New Jersey and a New Mexican cowboy learn to speak the same language, let alone trust each other?
When Mason Wild heads west to escape his past, he doesn’t have a plan or a penny to his name. Luckily he finds a job with a roofing company run by a rodeo cowboy who’s kind, easy to work for, and even with his jaw wired shut, hotter than July in the high desert.
Bull rider Levi Yost knows what it’s like to be down on his luck. He’s not much older than Mason, but he’s been around the block a few times, or at least around the rodeo arena. He takes a chance on the kid, giving him a job and a place to live on his ranch. The two of them discover a surprising amount of common ground, but trouble has a way of finding each of them. Mason has to learn to be fully honest with Levi, who in turn has to realize he’s not just riding out for himself anymore.

Top Ten Tuesday
A lot of TV shows are premiering this week, which made me think I should do a top ten list of the shows that I'm most looking forward to the season premier of or that I'm most looking forward to starting brand new.
Top Ten TV Shows I'm Looking Forward To This Fall
10. Stumptown - This one could go either way but I'm hoping I like it and I'm looking forward to seeing the first couple episodes.
9. Modern Family - Comedies are hit or miss for me, and this is one of the hits. I've enjoyed every season so far.
8. God Friended Me - this was an interesting concept and I liked the way it progressed. It'll be interesting to see where they take things form there.
7. SWAT - I want to like this show more than I do. Shemar Moore, a SWAT team, hell they even have a poly relationship that they are taking seriously, but there's just something missing and it's kinda preachy. I'm hoping they smooth some of that out for the upcoming season.
6. SEAL Team - I think it's a good mix of the guys in the field and at home.
5. BatWoman - no idea if I'm going to like it or not - the DC stuff often goes quite dark, but I'm looking forward to finding out!
4. 9-1-1 - I've always loved shows with first responder themes and this one near the top of my list in that type of show this fall.
3. The Masked Singer - I totally enjoyed this last year and I'm really looking forward to it again this year. It was a blast trying to figure out who was behind the masks - I was right on some, wrong on others and there were some I had absolutely no cue about.
2. The Rookie - love Nathan Fillion and he is great in this role. The show had humor, drama, and hit all the notes for me - I hope it continues well in it's second season.
1. The Prodigal Son - this one has so much potential to be awesome. I really hope that it is!

Movie Monday
It's Movie Monday. This past week I did something unusual for me - I watched an older movie: Cat People. I had never seen it before although the title track by David Bowie is one of my favorite songs - so slinky and wonderful.
The movie itself was interesting - in the end maybe a bit of a theme of sex is bad. Unless of course if it's with your brother ;) And the brother was definitely the more sexy of the two - slinky Malcolm McDowell who is not at all handsome but who is very charismatic and ooses sex appeal.
I'm glad I got a chance to finally see the movie that went along with the song.

Smutterday - Of Love
As promised, here's a smutty excerpt of the recently release Of Love!
Free-spirited computer programmer Kent McMann loves life, candy, his family, and his job designing apps. With his go-getter attitude, he succeeds at anything he tackles. So having a child with a surrogate mother is the perfect start to the family he’s always wanted, even though he still hasn’t found his longed-for Mr. Right.
Then, into Kent’s life comes triathlete Dex Lochland, who also happens to be a successful app designer, and the two of them hit it off. They soon begin a relationship full of fun, sex, laughter, and love. But when Kent learns his attempt at fatherhood with the surrogate has succeeded, Dex is shocked. Unknown to Kent until that moment, Dex has never wanted children.
Kent’s decision before he met Dex might cost him the man of his dreams.
Originally released by a different publisher.
Available at Amazon/KU.
Smutty Excerpt:
Kent cackled, that big bird sound ringing out, and Dex kissed him, hard. He loved the way Kent’s laughter filled his mouth. It was like sharing that happiness in the best way, and the kisses felt like bubbles, like cotton candy, like all of the sweet things.
He could learn to need this, very easily.
Dex stroked Kent’s cheek, fingers rubbing against the barely there stubble.
“Need to shave, huh?” Kent said.
“I like it. It makes me think things.” Like feeling that stubble against more sensitive parts.
Kent chuckled softly, nuzzling again. “I bet I know what you’re thinking….”
He refused to blush. Refused to. “You do, do you?”
“Mm-hmm. I bet it’s naughty.”
“You haven’t known me long enough to read my mind.” But wasn’t that a cute thought?
“No? I’m insightful. Everyone says so.”
“Yeah? So what was I thinking?” Because he wanted to hear the words from Kent’s mouth. That would be hot as hell.
Kent grinned. “You were thinking how hot it would be to feel that stubble on your inner thighs, on your sac.” He paused. “On your shaft.”
Dex groaned as his cock went fully hard. “Damn, you’re good.”
“Insightful.” Kent rubbed their cheeks together again.
“Sexy,” he countered, breathing Kent in.
“Happy.” His ear was nibbled.
“Yeah, you are. I like that about you.” That and the way Kent was making him wriggle in delight.
Kent licked and lapped around his ear, teasing him, giving him tiny bites. A shiver moved through Dex, and he turned his head slightly so he could return the favor.
“Oh.” Kent’s single sound was hungry. Wanton.
Groaning, Dex licked again, tasting Kent’s skin. Meanwhile, Kent found the hot spot under his ear, licking it and blowing a stream of air across it.
That had him shivering again, groaning. “Fuck!”
“Oh, that’s good. Right there.” Kent licked again, tracing a lazy circle over his skin.
“Uh-huh. Found me out.” Dex’s eyes dropped closed.
Kent’s hands trailed over his arms, his belly, but really it was that hot tongue that he focused on. Kent knew how to work a sweet spot when he found it, and Dex moaned for him, body thrumming. Then Kent started tracing around the outside of his nipple in time with the movements of his tongue.
“Damn, Kent. Making me so hard.”
“Good.” Kent scraped his teeth across Dex’s skin, careful not to mark.
“You want… you want to move this to the bedroom?” Dex asked.
“Are you comfortable with that?”
“I am. I’ve been forcing myself to take things slowly, but… it’s not what I want.” Dex wanted a whole lot more, and he didn’t really want to wait a whole long time. Besides, they were going camping together, right? Sharing a tent? No way was he going to be able to keep his hands to himself in those close quarters.
“No?” Kent grinned at him. “I’d love to spend some time doing the horizontal mambo.”
“Horizontal mambo… I like that.” Dex stood and held out his hand. “Let’s dance.”
“Yes.” Kent reached for him, moving right into the curve of his body.
Dex moved gently, swaying in place with Kent. God, this man was sexy. Dex couldn’t remember anyone ever drawing his attention more.
Kent rocked against him, body moving sure and steady. Dex didn’t think they were going to make it to the bedroom. And frankly, he didn’t care.
“You make me ache, man. Gonna leave a spot on my jeans,” murmured Kent.
“Ditto.” Grinning, Dex brought their mouths together, kissed Kent, and rubbed some more.
Kent’s hand was flat against his back, and he could feel every single finger, hot against him.
He tried to keep them moving toward the bedroom, he really did. But damn, he kept getting distracted over and over again. Finally, he pushed Kent up against the wall, rubbing more eagerly as their kiss deepened. Kent made him dizzy, made him want to touch and taste and forget the world existed outside of this place right here where the two of them touched.
Grabbing hold of Kent’s cheeks, Dex tilted the man’s head, moaning into their kisses. Kent responded by tugging his T-shirt from his waistband. He nodded, eager for the feeling of Kent’s fingers on his skin.
“I’ve got you.” Kent’s fingers trailed around his belly.
“You sure do.” He pushed into Kent’s touch.
Kent pulled his shirt up and off, then gave him another fierce kiss. Dex returned the favor, tugging Kent’s shirt up until they had to break apart again to pull his shirt over his head. He took a long moment to draw in a couple of breaths and really look at Kent, at the slender body, the gentle six-pack. Damn. And also yum.
Kent pinked. “You’re stunning. That’s whoa intimidating.”
“I work out for a living, remember? Besides, you’re not so bad yourself. Not bad at all.” He reached for Kent’s belly, tracing his abs.
Kent moaned and leaned into his fingers, begging for attention. Dropping to his knees and ignoring the needy ache in his balls, he started tracing Kent’s abs with his tongue.
“Oh God.” Kent touched his hair, fingers almost pulling, almost tugging.
He fucked Kent’s navel with his tongue, groaning as Kent’s fingers pulled harder at him.
“Want to taste you.” Dex was down here after all.
Kent made this amazing noise—part cry, part moan, part encouragement.
Dex took his time opening Kent’s pants. He’d like to have said it was to tease Kent, but really, his fingers were trembling more than a little, his excitement high.
“You’re so fine, so delicious.” Kent stroked his temples, almost petting him.
He placed a thank-you kiss on Kent’s skin, just above the tiny curls that he’d revealed when he opened the man’s jeans. Breathing in deeply, he pulled out Kent’s cock. It was hot and hard in his hand, and the scent of good, clean male filled his senses. Kent was heavy, thick, and cut. The head was flared, a single drop of clear fluid waiting for him to taste. He flicked at it with his tongue, groaning as the flavor filled his mouth. This was what Kent tasted like. He could get used to it. No, he could get used to wanting it.

Throwback Thursday
I've just gotten the rights back for this one and put it up - but it's from a while ago so I think it makes a good Throwback Thursday post. It was interesting writing a character who didn't really want kids and who wasn't sure they were going to keep seeing this guy they really liked because he was about to be a father... I got them to their HEA though!
Below are the purchase links - this one is currenly on Amazon and KU - once it's finished its initial run on KU, it'll be available wider.
There's an excerpt below! Look for a smutty excerpt for it on Saturday

Excerpt:
Dex Lochland
stepped off the elevator and tried not to sigh. The rooftop of the Tech for
Life building was jumping with partygoers, the atmosphere cheery. It was a
celebration, after all.
Whatever new piece of tech or new program they were
launching was sure to make the company a mint. TFL was the number-one fitness
accessory and app producer in the country, and it showed in the party. Everyone
was elegant and the food was decadent, despite the fact that neither of those
really had much to do with fitness.
Why was he here again?
Oh right, Julie had accused him of being too inside of his
own head and of having no life outside of the Ironman triathlons he ran. The
barb had hit just a little too close to home, and with his thirtieth birthday
looming, he’d heeded her advice that he “get himself out there.”
The problem was, parties like this one tended to bore him.
He hadn’t even come to his own launch parties, aside from the first one where
he’d discovered he didn’t talk tech, he didn’t do well at random small talk,
and he wasn’t interested in rubbing elbows with celebrities.
“Just find one person and talk to them. Then you can go
home.” Julie’s instructions rang in his head when he would have turned around
and taken the elevator back down to the lobby, so he straightened the tie that
threatened to choke him and that Julie had insisted was proper attire—it was a fitness-app
release for Pete’s sake, wouldn’t running or yoga gear have been more
appropriate?—and waded into the throng.
He passed on the waiter with the tray full of champagne
flutes and grabbed a bottle of Evian from a side table so they wouldn’t keep
trying to offer him a drink.
He didn’t know anyone here aside from Douglas Manning, the
VP of development who was his own liaison here at the company, but he didn’t
really want to make Douglas his one person. Besides, he was pretty sure Julie
had meant someone new. She’d probably even meant someone who was potentially a
date, but he was going to count it as done whether he talked to a woman or a
man.
Sipping at his water, he was drawn to the fountain
surrounded by greenery at the far left of the rooftop.
“I brought Hula-Hoops for everyone!” The words rang out, a
wild-haired guy bouncing and smiling wide. It was like watching a cartoon,
seriously. A crazy, bright, loud cartoon.
“Kent!” The cry sounded from almost everyone.
Dude. Kent McMann, crazy genius and mad developer. That was
who this launch party was for. Something to do with the damn Hula-Hoops, but
the guy had all sorts of apps and add-ons for your phone, your tablet. In like
every field. The man didn’t let categories hold him in.
Dex found himself caught as he watched the guy passing out Hula-Hoops
in every color imaginable. Kent smiled at everyone, spoke and touched and
chatted for a second. The man had the make-nice thing down; Dex was impressed.
He could make a pretty good go of it when he really tried, but he had a harder
time pretending this kind of thing didn’t bore the hell out of him. At least
today’s craziness was outside.
“Ironman!” McMann got to him. “Great to meet you in person.
Love the app. The logo tickles me.”
Now Dex was even more impressed. Not to mention Kent was
adorable as hell with the crazy blond hair and the freckles across his nose.
“Thanks, man. Congratulations to you! It’s your big day.”
“Thank you! I’m totally stoked. Want a Hula-Hoop?” Okay,
this man was adorable.
“I can’t remember the last time I hula-hooped.” If he ever
had. Still, he found himself holding out his hand, pleased when a rainbow one
was handed over.
“I hope you make good use of it.”
“I don’t know, I might need lessons.” Was he flirting with
Kent?
“I know a fabulous teacher.” Whether or not Dex was
flirting, Kent was totally flirting back.
“You’ll have to give me his number,” Dex suggested.
“Give me your phone. Better yet, meet me at the elevator in
fifteen minutes.”
Dex could totally handle fifteen more minutes. Especially if
more time with Kent was his reward. “I’ll be there. Hula-Hoop and all.”
“Rock on, Ironman.”
“Keep on hooping.” He gave Kent a wink, then watched the man
go. Broad shoulders moved down into a tiny little waist and a sweet, sweet ass.
Damn. This event was looking up.

Top Ten Tuesday
Today's Top Ten Tuesday visits my favorite cooking competition shows.
Top Ten Favorite Cooking Competition Shows
10. Worst Cooks in America. It always boggles my mind just how bad some of these cooks are.
9. The Great Food Truck Race. I look forward to this one showing up every summer.
8. Guy's Grocery Games. Guy's Diners Drive-ins and Dives makes me crazy, so I wasn't sure I'd like the grocery games when they came along, but I do! I especially like it when the judges are the ones cooking.
7. Chopped. This was one of the first that I watched and I enjoy it a lot. The themed ones are especially fun.
6. Cutthroat Kitchen. They don't seem to be making new episodes, but it was a great show. Best thing about it? How much joy Alton Brown got out of inflicting the sabotages on the contestants.
5. Masterchef Canada. I always find it fun to watch Canadian versions of shows.
4. Halloween/Christmas/Spring Baking Championship. I really enjoy these seasonal ones with themes, although I like some of the judges better than others.
3. Best Baker in America. The desserts made in this competition are always amazing looking.
2. The Great British Baking Show. Oh my God, I love this show. It's so much fun. I loved it with Mel and Sue as the hosts, but I also love it with Noel and Sandy.
1. Masterchef Australia. I watch this show whether I've seen the episode before or not. I will watch them over and over again. We have three seasons available to us and they run them over and over and I just keep watching.

1. Masterchef Australia. I watch this show whether I've seen the episode before or not. I will watch them over and over again. We have three seasons available to us and they run them over and over and I just keep watching.

Sneak Peek Sunday
Good morning! This is out on Tuesday, although you can pre-order it now. It'll be going on KU for a limited run starting on Wednesday, so if you want it from Kobo - grab it now! Excerpt from the book is below.
Winter Boys: Tommy
Meet the Winter boys – Todd, Tommy and Troy. Can these triplets each find their happily ever after?
Tommy is a cop in Ottawa. He likes his job a lot because he enjoys helping people. It doesn’t leave him a lot of time to meet guys, though, as he often takes extra shifts to help out the officers on the job who have families. All that changes, though, when an old academy friend gives him a call and asks him to check in on the ex-husband of a famous actress.
Ian Fitzhugh loves his life. He married his best friend and they had three children together before she hit it big as an actress. They’re both now out and happy, and Ian has custody of the kids in Ottawa while Elaine lives the Hollywood life. Unfortunately, that life includes stalkers, and when Elaine’s discovers her ex and their kids in Ottawa, Ian isn’t ready for the ramifications of losing their quiet life.
Tommy and Ian feel an attraction immediately, but Elaine’s stalker isn’t going to give them time to gradually get to know each other. Instead, they’re thrown into a trial by fire. Can they find their way through the danger to each other?

Excerpt:
Tommy headed out to his car
to give Steve a call.
“Tom? Tom Winter?”
The urge to go duh
was huge. He managed not to, though. He’d been an officer long enough to have
learned how to hold his tongue on his initial reactions to a multitude of
things. He’d developed an amazing poker face.
“Yeah. Been a few years.
How’s it going?” Go him. He’d even managed a spot of small talk.
“Busy. You know of
Elaine Lester?”
“The actress?”
“That’s the one.”
“Of course I know. She’s
a local girl made good. Still comes back home on occasion, too, if I’m not
mistaken. She lives in the States now, though, doesn’t she?”
“LA. That’s where I am.
I’m with her. I’m head of her security team, and I’m calling to ask a favor.”
Oh, interesting.
“Sure. If I can help.”
He wasn’t sure what a cop from Ottawa could do for a famous actress in LA, but
he was ready to listen.
“Her children live with
their father. He has full custody—there in Ottawa. She has been having trouble
with a stalker, and there’s evidence he’s found the kids. No one is listening
to me, though….”
Tommy winced. Stalkers
were hard. Dangerous, but usually the authorities couldn’t do anything until
most of the damage was done. “You want me to swing by and talk to the dad? See
if they’ve had any problems?”
“Please. The kids are
young—a set of four-year-old twins and an eighteen-month-old. The father’s name
is Ian Fitzhugh. Good guy, but not a bit security conscious.”
“I imagine he doesn’t
usually have to be.” He certainly hadn’t known Elaine Lester had a family. He
was probably like a good portion of the general public—well aware of her
orientation and her advocacy for the LGBT community, but not much else aside
from that she was originally from Ottawa.
“No. They married out of
high school, and they’re exceptional friends, but her career keeps her running
and they decided to divorce when she was pregnant with the littlest. He’s a
great dad, but I wish he was a little less…scattered.”
“Scattered.” It was an
interesting choice of words and could mean a lot. “Don’t worry. I’ll take their
address and stop in, make sure things are okay.”
“Thank you. Seriously,
man. I owe you.”
“And one day I’ll
collect. You want me to report back?”
“Please. Let me know, so
I can let Elaine know.”
“All right. I’ll go now
unless I get a call. Take care, Steve.”
“I’ll text you the
deets.”
“Perfect. Talk to you
later.” He disconnected the call, and when the address came in, he ran it. It
came up clean, as expected, and he plugged it into his GPS and headed off.
The house was in Island
Park, the part with the big old houses. Nice.
There was a huge black
SUV sitting outside the gates, just sitting there, and he frowned as, when he
pulled up, it drove up. That was suspicious.
He got out of the car
and pushed the button on the intercom, then scanned the street as he waited for
an answer.
“Hello? Daddy’s in the
potty!”
Oh, lord. Tommy bit back
his laughter. “Hi there. Can you let me in?” Hopefully she said no, but they’d
see.
“Do we know you?”
“Who is it, Amy?”
“A visitor.”
“Daddy’s in the potty.”
“I’m Officer Tommy. I want
to speak to your daddy. Will you let me in?”
“Officer…. Annie, you
have to.”
“But…”
“He’s a police man and
he will put you in jail, sister!”
“I don’t want to!” He
heard tears and then he was buzzed in.
Damn it, he hadn’t meant
to cause drama and upset. He got back into the car and drove through the now
open gates, feeling like an ass.
He pulled up in front of
the house, got out of the car, and took the front stairs two at a time.
Two beautiful little
dark-haired girls stood at the front door—one in tears, one with fists at the
ready, which was completely at odds with the glitter and fairy wings they both
wore.
He hated that he’d upset
them, but it was a good test of their security—which was thin at best if a four-year-old
could just let anyone in. “Hey there. I’m Officer Winter. Nobody is in trouble,
but is your father home?”
“Uh-huh. Brother is
getting him.” Miss Fists stared at him. This must be Amy.
“Good deal. I’m sorry if
I upset you. I didn’t mean to do that.”
“I’m Amy Fitzhugh. This
is Annie. We’re nice.”
“Girls! Girls, what did
I tell you? Never never open the gate without me!” A stunning man with hair the
color of a crow’s wing and bright, light blue eyes came rushing up, a little
blond boy in his arms. “Can I help you?”
“Hi there. I’m Tommy
Winter. Steve Anderson called me and asked me to drop by and check out your
situation. You know who Steve Johnson is?” He sure hoped so.
“Yes, he’s my wife’s
head of security. He texted and said you’d be by. He sent a picture. You look different.”
“Well, I’m guessing the
picture is from our academy days and that was some time ago.” He pulled out his
wallet and handed over his ID. So far this guy was about as security conscious
as he expected anyone to be. He had told the kids not to open the gate without
him and he was being cautious now.
“Come on in. Annie, love,
stop crying. Amy, fists down. We don’t threaten our guests.”
“I didn’t mean to upset
them. I’ve just come to make sure you guys are all doing okay. Can I come in?
I’ve got a few questions…”
“Of course. Please, come
in. Would you like a drink? We have tea, coffee, milk, orange juice…”
“No, I’m fine, sir,
thank you.” He followed Mr. Fitzhugh into the house. It was nice. Old but big,
the foyer opening onto a large hall with a living room to the right, a kitchen
straight ahead and a lovely wooden staircase with an ornate banister. Someone
had put some loving care into the place. Also, Mr. Fitzhugh had a great ass,
but he wasn’t supposed to be noticing things like that.

Smutty Excerpt
“I am. Interested, I mean.” More than a little interested.
Ian looked up at him. “I am too.”
He smiled and swayed a little, leaning in toward Ian.
Ian’s lips parted, those light eyes shining. Oh, that was pretty. Tommy kept moving forward until their lips met in a gentle kiss. Oh. Oh, how sweet. The kiss was slow and lazy, their lips clinging. When their lips parted, he licked his own, then dipped back in to lick at Ian’s.
Ian turned and kneeled tall on the sofa to push into their kisses. Humming, he straightened, and these new kisses were even better. Tommy slid his arms around Ian’s waist.
The lean man fit so well against him, solid and warm, the kisses beginning to deepen.
He slid one hand up to cup the side of Ian’s head, tilting it slightly for a better angle. Ian sighed softly, then moaned into his lips and relaxed into his touch.
He lost himself in the kisses, in sharing them with Ian. It had been a while since he’d had so much as a date and this felt really good. Maybe better than usual even, although that could have been because it was a while since he’d done this. No, he was choosing to believe it was because it was really that good with Ian.
Ian kissed him like he was exploring, like he was happy to be discovered in return. Tommy hummed into the kiss as it slowly heated him. This was better than any steak or lemon cake could ever be.
He walked around the sofa, barely breaking the kiss to move to where he could sit down and pull Ian onto his lap. Ian straddled him easily, and he turned his head up to keep the kisses going, sliding his hands up and down along Ian’s back. He could feel Ian’s warmth through his clothing and suddenly wanted to touch skin.
Humming, he tugged briefly at Ian’s shirt, wordlessly asking if this was okay.
Ian groaned and nodded, sitting back to pull the shirt off, exposing a lean, surprisingly muscled chest.
“Pretty.” He was immediately drawn to the little pink nipples. He touched one, the little bit of flesh tightening immediately. It made him groan and instead of going back for another kiss, he leaned and wrapped his lips around Ian’s right nipple. He ran his tongue along Ian’s aureole, then flicked at the little bit of flesh that stood out using just the tip. It seemed to get even harder and he closed his lips around just it, sucking lightly. He kept his hands around Ian’s waist, opening and closing.
“Oh. Oh God. Tell me this isn’t a dream, Tom.” Ian’s fingers were shaking as they brushed through his hair.
“Best dream ever if it is.”
